    that's very true. everyone keeps telling me the autos aren't so bad anymore. my buddies got a 6 spd. seems like he Is shifting all the time. love the truck And very jealous.
  4. yeah I'm really kicking myself in the a** today. last night i went to pick up a transmission and transfer case for my dads 96 1/2 ton dodge. i needed only the t case but he sold me both for 150. so i took them both. they only had 100xxx miles. but i took my buddys mini van cuz the jeep needs a lil work before i drove it that far. and he told me he would have sold me his 96 318 for 50 bucks. if i would have taken a pickup............ :doh: :wall:

  6. yes pics r preferred LOL. I'd rather a 360 also. mybuddy did a stock rebuild with a mild cam in his 85 Dodge ram and she screams. and That's in a 6000 lbs full size.in a Comanche u could really $#!& And git.
  7. sounds like an awesome build to me. great reliable motor and trans setup. I'm thinking about a 318 magnum with whatever manual trans i can get that will bolt and i can afford. lol.

  9. I'm looking for a long bed comanche frame. my frame is getting pretty rotted and i need a new frame pretty bad.

  12. really? ill have to check that out. it Just seems too doggy to have 4.10 but ill check it out. I'm cutting the exhaust hopefully tomorrow if I'm not too busy. you got any measurements from making your control arm drop brackets?? I'm looking to install some in the near future.

  14. nice that looks awesome. i got the 4 cyl 5spd with i think 3.55 so its about the same i think. your tires are bigger. mines extremely doggy right now. i think the cat is plugged. thats next is an exhaust. any ideas anyone??????

  17. if I'm moving it will go into gear just fine. if I'm sitting still it won't go into gear right away.
  18. ok. do you think that the oil in the trans could be an issue. if i hold the clutch down for a few seconds then go to put it in gear it drops right in no problem.
  19. yes it does still have it. it looked like it was in good shape.
  20. the reservoir is full. And I did remove the slave cylinder, compressed it, And hooked a tube from the bleeder to a jar of brake fluid. opened the bleeder then had my buddy push the clutch petal And I closed the bleeder. I did this a few times till there was no bubbles coming out. that's what alldata told me to do.
  21. ok i just purchased a 1986 comanche. it has a 2.5 with a 5spd 2wd. the issue I'm having is the truck doesnt want to go into gear. i just bled the hydraulic clutch so i know thats good. but if i hold the clutch petal in for a few seconds it will go into gear just fine.but what i wanna know is why it won't go into gear right away. my last comanche could go into gear right away. so i wanna know why won't it go into gear right away????? thx in advance
