+1 Alaska

Very old topic but just became a member and pickup up my 88 in May. My wife and I fly out of Alaska for my kiddos college graduation and then we pickup the Comanche and head back to Alaska. Just picked this up on ebay and from what I can tell it should work. Also have a rear hitch being made by forum member Krusty. So to say I'm a little excited is an understatement. Been wanting one of these since my dad's dealership had one of the first ones made back in the 80's.

New to the forum, but been rebuilding XJ's for some time and just recently got as close to my dream MJ as I'm going to get. Flying out of Alaska to pick it up in Colorado here in 2 months. But between my XJ's and MJ's I have anywhere between 130k upwards of 300k without rebuilds. The 4.0 if maintained can get 300k fairly regularly from my experience. Ill say this....my Wranglers 3.6 ain't got nothing compared my 99XJ 4.0 when it comes to reliability amd being a work horse motor.
