ok this might sound dumb but I went down to the parts store and got the ujoints and told them I need the seals for the front axle shafts and they were saying there was an inner and outter and when they showed them to me there were just rubber. I figured it would be more like the metal/rubber seal. in short what seals do I need?

isnt there a seal where the axle shafts go into the houseing

in the next few days I planing on changing my u-joints in my front axel. and changing the fluid in the diff. is there anything else I should look/change while I'm doing this? any input would be great.

thanks Shawn, and you are right, that's my buddies 81 eagle sx4, it's pretty nice but I don't know what he's doing with it, it runs ruff and I think he gave up on it. if I had room I'd take it in a heart beat.

thanks Jimmy for th offer, once I see how bad it is under there I just maybe asking for some help, lol. I'm not to bad at welding my self, but I might need a had getting the bed off sometime if u wouldn't mind.

I love road trips in my Comanche, I drove from Ohio the outer banks straight through once and I've driven it up to Newport Maine. never had a single proble , but when I did get back from Maine the next day a joint in my drive shaft took a crap lol luckily it didn't happen on the way back becaue I took back roads all the way home from Maine.

it's been painted sometime in it's life, I do see some black paint in some spots under the green, at first I didn't care for the green but it's growing on me. lol

i have a 92 Comanche, the sticker that's is usually in the door jam isn't there, isn't that where the build date is? or is there some other way to find out?

here's comanche #1 its a 92 4.0 with ax15, 2wd. with somewhere around 220k on her. and still runing like a champ this is comanche #2 its also a 92 4.0 ax15 but this one is 4x4 with only 185k miles, lol the bad with this one is the frame, its pretty rusted but i think i can save her

yea thats what I'm going to do, i wasnt at home when i psted that i made it home so I'm parking it till xmas i have a week off then and going to get working on the frame hopefully

so I'm having issues with my truck at the moment, frame is rusted bad and shocks mounts are trashed, well I'm in Ohio and there's a winter storm coming, how bad would it be to drive with out my rear shocks for a little while till I can fix the mounts and frame?

thats one sweet comanche you have going, i was woundering about how u have the rear shocks, does the angle of them make a difference or what are the pros or cons of haveing like that?

hey everyone, ive been scanning the site for the past few nights, i figured it was time i say hi, not that anyone really cares. let me tell u a little about myself, i'm 26 live in akron ohio, about 5 years ago i payed $1000 for my first comanche, it was a 92 2wd 5 speed didn't know how to drive stick when i got it. lol. the truck didn't have a spot of rust on it anywhere. well i didn't realize how much i would love that tuck i still have and wish i would of took better care of it, i still have it and wouldn't get rid of it for any thing. about 2 weeks ago i got another comanche its another 92 4x4 5 speed, and i love it. i don't want to keep going on and on. but one thing i wanted u guys to know is if there's anyone around akron and needs some welding done i'll be more than happy to help. anyway.........ill hopefully have some pic of my mjs up soon.....
