I thought about the tape buy its rusted right where the mount is on the trans cross member is, so there's really no way too put tape around it. and apparently everything around here is closed.

I am in clover SC and my exhaust is if rusted right in front of cadilac converter. is there any one close to clover SC? my truck is so loud and i have to drive it back too Akron Ohio on tue. u don't need to do the work I will do it but I need a welder, this had been a bad trip so for and I don't have much money. my truck is just so loud it's driving me nuts. thanks !!!

So I picked up a ax15 from a buddy for scrap price, with the transmission sitting on the floor I try too put it into a gear but it will not go, not into any gear. The shifter seems too be in neural but when I turn the input shaft the out put shaft turns too, this doesn't seem right? I'm no pro with transmissions. Anyideal what would cause this?

As of right now I don't need it as the tran stills works, it just drives me nuts how sloppy it feels. If you have plans for the one you have even if it's not going to happen anytime soon keep it. You'll regret selling. I figure someone has one left over from 4x4 swap and have no need for it and ideally I'd like to find one a little closer too! :cheers:

I'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg, I don't know what the going price is for a 2wd ax15, I see 4wd ones going for between $200.00 and $600.00 around here. Shoot a price at me.

this is my new comanche i picked up today, its a 87 4.0 5speed 2wd short bed, there almost no rust on the thing, just a few spots and being i live in ohio I'm calling it rust free :brows: and it has black interior, i have a black bench seat for it but it is miss a few pices but does have a headliner lol it also came with a roll bar and a sun visor i didnt even know that was coming with the truck. and lots of other mis part

i guess it depends on how pickey you are, i have no carpet at all and holes in floor, been that way for years, doesnt bother me at all.

came home on a flatbed, a kid was parting out the truck and anything didnt sell was going to the scrap yard with in 3 day i couldnt let it happen. it worked out good for me because iv sold some parts off it and i should come out even. plus one of my trucks have a complety roted frame so i might be switching everything over or something.

i just use ammo boxes behind my seat

thanks for the link, now my truck is a 92 4.0h.o. whit has ax15 transs, and I don't have cad on the from axle. does the tcase have to come from another ax15 or would others work? isn't there different spline counts? next if the tcase has the vacume lines could I just plug them?

so here's what's going on, lastnight I needed to run to the store and the roads were snow covered, pulled out if my drive way and started down the road, I pulled the shifter up into 4x4, nothing seemed funny, well when I was coming up to a stop sign a noise sounding like gears grinding. the sound only comes when slowing down. but the fronf shaft isn't engaging. in 4hi and 4lo it's the same as having it in 2wd. I take it something broke in the t-case. anyone got an extra t case laying around lol. but anyway should u be looking for another one or are they easy to teardown and replace parts? I have never had one apart or anything. what u guys think?

I not a bitter person, if the peron who is looking at it befor me and he gets it. o-well. : ) it's not like I really need another one. well maybe I do. lol
