  1. Anyone have part# for GM switch? I have cruise control if it matters.
  2. Thanks Cruiser. Have a '95 XJ BB coming; was hoping I could mix and match parts I had. I can still use my MJ proportioning valve, right? I'm keeping the rear axle limiting valve.
  3. Planning on up grading the brakes on '87MJ. I have a '95 XJ master cylinder but no BB. Will any of the later BB's ( WJ ZJ) be compatible, or do I need to use only a '95-'96 XJ booster? Thanks for any info.
  4. Thanks for the answer. Mark
  5. Need to replace missing rear bump stops on '87 MJ, LWB,metric ton,d44,no lift. The factory manual lists four different sizes. Any idea which is the correct one? Thanks , Mark
  6. If sensors ( CPS, TPS, O2, etc.) check OK (volts,ohms,...) and the MJ starts and runs good should any sensors be replaced on a time or mileage basis? Or does one wait for a part to fail when it's -20 and the snow is butt deep? Just trying to stay a step ahead of the electronics and the weather. Mark
  7. After looking at numerous dealer sites I think both numbers are for the same part. I believe T0739789 to be an AMC number and 33004761 to be Chrysler. Why the price difference for Mopar branded parts from the same dealer I don't know; must be one of those mysteries man was meant to never understand. If my luck is as usual I will be wrong, but I'm going for the cheaper one.
  8. Is the cps for a '87 the same as '88-'90's? Found 2 different Mopar #'s; T0739789 for '87 and 33004761 for '88-'90. I thought '87-'90 used the same part. Since there's $20 price difference I'd rather buy the cheaper one. Any better brand than Mopar? Thanks for any input. Mark
  9. Thanks for the explanation. Always wondered " why?".
  10. Don't need one but can't pass up a good deal. Thanks, Don. Mark
  11. How bigga cannon do you Bama boys carry?
  12. I did the left side on my '87 MJ last Friday . Tried the AZ part# Eagle mentioned ; no luck. Using 20ton press could only install one clip. Got O'Reilly #365; was just enough shorter and clips thinner that it worked.
  13. Check your steering damper shock on tie rod.
  14. My wife likes Aermacchis (Aermacchae?). Must be hard to give up that much shop space. But business is business. Your MJ 2.5 motor is a good engine, not exciting, but reliable and economical. I bought a used '88 2.5, 2wd with 4ax in '96 that I used as a DD for 12 years, sold it to a friend who drove it for another 4 years until road cancer killed it. Compared to my current '87 4.0 it seemed "lighter" and more nimble. Which ever way you decide to go, you have a nice starting point.
  15. Great shop! What's models are the Trumpets ?
  16. Could it be splines on torque convertor ?
  17. I must say "Thank You" to all the people providing useful info and some humor(?) on this site. Every time I think I have a question to ask I find the answer has been given and can be found by searching.(If I use the right search phrase or word) I wish this site had been around when I had my first MJ; maybe I would have known to check under the rug for rust ! Now I 'm working my way through "The 25+ Things" list. ( I've cleaned the C102; but not eliminated it yet) Loved the frame hitch saga and its resolution. Thanks again and remember: "COMANCHE CLUB THE CULT" will not sentence your soul to eternal damnation but it will raise hell with your budget. Mark B
  18. Sounds like steering stabilizer to me.
