I know I should just buy a hard copy but man free is so nice, want to look up some wiring diagrams for a possible short I'm having due to a previous owners "kill switch" have a feeling it might be in the ignition switch on the steering column but idk for sure. Would be alot easier with the diagram to diagnose.

Id say it wouldn't hurt to just pull your shifter out and take a look in the top there just to get a rough look at what might be going on/ do an oil change and see if there is any chunks of metal in there, Good thing about these jeeps is the crossmember is droppable so makes taking out the trans alot easier then it was on my old tacoma, had to turn it sideways and wiggle it out from between the welded in place crossmember and the flywheel what a workout -

I would say definitely sounds trans/clutch related, if your rear diff was toast it would always be bucking while in motion right? Even with the clutch held in or shifter held in place -

Does it feel like that while releasing the clutch pedal and like its buckin from right under your feet, could be something with your throw out bearing just a guess -
That thing is a beast, looking great so far
-
Yea I got both sets feels like the set screw is rounded out :/
-
Could you not just cut the plate down in the corner there to fit snug up against the gusset, personally I'd rather cut that then interfere with anything structural but that's me
-
Shoved every allen key I had in there, seems stripped out hard to tell from the picture but nothing actually seats within the hole smh looks like imma just buy a new slave cylinder/ entire hydraulic clutch set up
-
can’t tell if I'm just a dummy or what, but I cannot see a bleeder valve on this slave cylinder, trying to fix my squishy @$$ clutch. Is there something that goes in this hole to bleed the turd
-
Will have to get that goin next thanks for the tip

1988, Jeep, Comanche Pioneer 4.0 with a rebuilt head ax-15 manual transmission 231 transfer case 30 front axel 35 rear axel stock height for now factory build date hard to read but says 1987 picked up in San Diego now in LA county driving daily with minimal issues hunted down a tailgate and made a k2500 tailgate handle fit, threw some kuhmo road ventures on and amazon offroad lights cause the headlights sure aint bright enough anywho here's some pictures, survived gorman till my catalytic converter smacked my leaf spring so hard the internals disintegrated

for anyone interested, it was a toasted cat, nothing $22 of autozone exhaust can't fix am i right? IMG_0761.MOV
-
could be, it gets good fuel flow has a relatively new pump in there
-
seems to look pretty new but definitely could be an issue, gonna drive it straight piped and see how it feels

went out to gorman and had some problems after driving around for 30 mins, truck idles fine but once in gear and accelerating it can't get good power. Ive replaced the air and fuel filters and vacuum harnesses, CPS, blown out my MAP, i assume since it idles fine and can hit high RPMs in neutral that the IAC is functioning properly. the truck drives fine for about 15 seconds or quarter mile then feels like something is clogged and will not exceed 25 and struggles to get there, any ideas

the LUK 05-065 looks to be just what I need with the bearings I need, appreciate the help, some reason they don't market one for a comanche with the ax-15 throwout bearing even though its the same as a cherokee

Been looking into stage 2 clutch kits for my 88 comanche, already figured its a matter of how much cash do I wanna shovel out. Usually I just buy the oreillys crap clutch kit but I'm looking for a good mid tier if not higher tier set up for a good price, preferably something with the pilot and throw out bearings included. Any suggestions?

theres far more tweaked out $#!& going on with this thing unfortunately, everything needs a once over

Picked up an 88 jeep comanche 4wd few months back and been slowing replacing all the tweaker sheit done to it, looks like the tie rod has been replaced with a heavy duty one which barely fits and rubs on the tires (just gonna space out the wheels and it should fix that problem) i can’t identify it for the life of me, needs new tie rod ends to get moving again so anyone got a clue?

never seen this list definitely gonna be a big help, appreciate it bud
-
appreciate the help, gonna clean out all the connections to the ignition coil distributor spark plugs all that jazz clean it up make sure everything getting proper voltage
-
just drove home bout an hour, turned it off let it sit for a minute and checked the spark on the coil, it makes contact and has spark and started effortlessly, so thats not the issue i assume? might just replace it anyway to make sure thats not the issue. maybe my truck just don't like the valley haha
