i've got 285-75Rx16 goodyear mtr on 16x8 w 4.25 backspace this is with a rubicon express 5.5 lift kit. seems to work really well with the stock fenders and flares....well just a little bit of a rub when fully stuffed up in a fender and full lock....... also i'm really happy with the goodyears...they appear to wear well(this is my dd so they are on pavement most of the time) and they give great traction in muck and rock bob

Mounting license plate to custom bumper
rjontzen replied to Bounty Hunter's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i've got a tube bumper on the back but i hung the plate under the bed. Used another old plate reversed(so you can't read it) and there are existing hole on the right side that match the plate. and hung the real plate of that and mounted a autozone licenseplate light above it and spliced in the wires..i works good and it puts the real license plate just below the bumper visually so the cops can see it ok..(most important is was told) i can e-mail photo if you want bob -
yea....she's running.......cap,rotor,plugs none where great so i replaced all, still wouldn't start, unpluged and repluged the cps still no start, still seems like no gas so i pulled the schraeder valve on the fuel rail and put a hose on it and cranked the engine over figuring i'd pump some gas out and check it....instead she fired right up to run then sputtered and died so i repeated this a couple of times(pumped out about a gal of fuel which is clean) deceided what the hell..and put the schraeder insert back in and she starts right up and runs............Yea...i'm just not really sure what was the exact culpert...........the only other possibility is she was mad at me cause i banged her around at Haspin and deceided to take a week off and have me buy her some new stuff........... THANKS ALL!!

yes i hear the fuel pump run while it is turning over and with a remote starter i can depress the relief valve while it is turning over and there is a strong stream of gas. but it seems like when i stop cranking it over then the only pressure in the fuel manifold is relief pressure no more than just a spurt.......should it still be under pressure and pumping if the ignition switch is still on?? also battery is brand new and strong ..it cranking over at normal starting speed bob
-
I went out to start the truck for work and she cranked over but wouldn't start...(always starts right up) so i tried again and again and she won't start not even a sputter. I've pulled plug wires and got a spark when cranking and there is fuel pressure when cranking (shoots a stream out of the relief valve when depressed)...but with the ign on when i depress the relief valve i only get a small squirt and then no more pressure (i would think it should still be pressurized as the ign switch is still on).....I also gave her several shots either but still she hasn't fired once....... So i'm looking for any ideas on what i've missed or what to try next thanks

Saturday while playing at Haspin I smashed the passenger side LCA mount and that in turn seems to now have my steering wheel turned 90* to the left. :( What fun! My planned repair is to unbolt the arm and bend the mounts back to straight and then re enforce the brackets with a add on skid plate(like jks or RExpress) and/or a welded gusset. The arms are RE's and they don't look damaged and the axle is a HP D30 Can i arc weld on the axle housing without disassembling the axle?? any thoughts on this repair are welcome. thanks bob
