  1. Thanks guys! Installed my NickInTimeDesign REM today. Mounted it just above the power/comfort switch that I never use and ran the CAT5 cable through an existing plug near the master cylinder.
  2. Took your advice, just arrived yesterday. Can’t wait to get it installed to see what’s going on behind the scenes in Renix world. Thanks especially to Nick. Most of this tech is way over my head and for a kid growing up in the 80s the idea of 3D printing alone still blows my mind. This REM is amazing and he should be proud of himself.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to share this. Saved me time and money.
  4. November 2020… Finally found an MJ! Needs a new transmission, some small things fixed and some TLC but it’s solid. Can’t wait to get started! 323k miles so it must be doing something right. Decided that although it’s not period correct, I really like the retro look of the ‘86 XLS orange decals so I took my time and put some on my ‘88. Really happy with the way it came out. Decided not include the giant 4X4 on the door or the lower body, black decals
  5. Thanks again for the help. I went with the custom Bilstein 5125 series from their chart. They recommend a 255/75 valving for the rear of “half size trucks”. With a 3” lift spring my current shocks ride at 22.5” eye to eye and there’s 7” up travel to bump stop which gives a collapsed length of 15.5”. I chose the 33-186542 which has 9.25” total travel, 15” collapsed and 24.3” extended lengths. the front shock is 24-185622. maybe this will help someone else.
  6. Perfect. Thank you! I’ll look into that.
  7. Hey gang, what’s everyone running for rear shocks? I noticed bilstein doesn’t make their 5100s for the rear of the Comanche and the Cherokee shocks are not the same. I’m running a 3” skyjacker lift and the only quality shock I can find are Fox 2s which are somewhat pricey. Just looking for a comfortable ride on the street that handles well. Thanks!
  8. At the pull n go yard in Bradenton Florida as of 12/28/20. I know someone needs that bed... Years
  9. ‘88 SporTruck 4.0 AW4 4X4 323k miles bought 11/20. No rust, 30k on jasper rebuild and transmission needed rebuilt. $2500 + $1900 for transmission rebuild $4400 all in.
  10. I’m interested in this thread too. Following it to see where it leads. I want a roll bar in my swb in the worst way
  11. Thanks for the VIN info! Here’s the firewall tag. Not sure which is the paint code
  12. 1988 MJ sport truck, white with blue interior cloth bench seat. 4.0L, auto, 4x4, shortbed, a/c. 323,000 miles.
