  1. Well I think there are enough of us interested that we should do something. Does anyone do Coffee and Cars in Cool Springs? I know the next one is Saturday. There is a great off-road park in Southern Kentucky call Blue Hollar or places in TN too, but I don't know how many guys on here are 4x4. Or we could all just meet up at a restaurant and hangout one Saturday in Nashville area. Burger Fi in Brentwood has great burgers, reasonable price and there is a good size parking lot around back. Or there's always Dave & Busters at Opry Mills... Let's get some input going...
  2. Well, the work has began. Replaced the DS door mirror yesterday with a cheap one from AM Auto (ebay) yesterday. The mirror is plastic, but fits well. The cable, however is a different story - as some of the reviews mentioned, it is TOO long. I managed to cram it back into the mirror housing, but the control is a bit wonky. As a plus, I managed to secure my door pull, and found out unfortunately that my door card has been wet and is deteriorating - old truck problems. Anyone know how to replace the spring on a door handle or know a good place to find replacements? My a pillar light brackets and lights came in yesterday - $30 total on ebay. Seem like good quality; I'll post pics when I install them.
  3. That's never a good thing... been there, done that...
  4. So... how does everyone from our area get together and keep up with each other if they don't use this forum? Is there a leader of the group?
  5. Oh, lol. Your profile said Michigan - just made the assumption.
  6. Is this group still active?
  7. I went there when I was in college at GMI/Kettering many moons ago. Great place if you like German food lol. We are tired of going to Florida every year (parents have a snowbird home down there). We'll need to decide something soon - the ho ho ho is upon us. Weather still looking to be in the upper 30s next week up there?
  8. Lol... I dunno... I kinda like ugly. Let me tell you, this isn't my first questionable life choice! Oddly enough, we were thinking about coming up your way to visit Frankemuth for Christmas lol.
  9. Thanks guys. The bed is quite simply made. I wish it was a little wider (~4" to match cab), but I think it was made to match frame and avoid inner wheel wells. It bolts on and filler panels between cab and fenders bolt-on as well. Easy enough to repair if damaged on the trail. Maybe I should start making them to sell... lol
  10. Thank you sir!

  14. I've been an on-and-off Jeep lover since I was a kid. I've had a couple CJs, a couple XJs, and this is my first MJ; I must say I love it! I had planned on buying a good donor and starting a build myself, but I found this one for a steal, and it is almost exactly how I would have build one myself.
