  1. Thanks. I will take another look when I get home.
  2. Alright then. I will leave them alone then and focus on making the other speakers better. Thanks.
  3. So this is kind of embarrassing, but I recently replaced the master cylinder on my 87 MJ 4.0, and in the process I took out my air filter box. Can anyone send me a picture of the 87 4.0 air filter box so I can make sure I have all my lines put back in the right spot? I failed to take a picture beforehand, and I have a horrible memory, so I am all mixed up.
  4. Alright. Thanks for the advice. I’ll start doing my measurements and seeing what’s out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Sweet. I was actually curious about the 6x9s. I still was wanting to install tweeters in the dash, but I didn’t know how the sound would be with just the door speakers, a sub, and the 6x9s. Should I just not worry about them then? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I’m not quite that crazy. Yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Nothing like that, yet. For now, a new head unit, new speakers in stock locations, an amp, and a sub. Probably an 8 inch, if I can fit it behind the bench seat smoothly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Awesome. I will definitely start seeing what I can do then. My biggest concern was not being able to fit a box in the cab very well, but since you guys have done it, I’ll give it a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So I am a huge audiophile, and I am attempting to upgrade the stereo in my 87 MJ with bench seats. I would love to put a subwoofer in, but I’m not sure about a good way to fit it in. I’m about 6 ft. tall, so I have to have my seat all the way back. Anybody who has done something like this or knows about this have any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Ah. Gotcha. That is what it is. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. There is one the the engine bay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Alrighty then. Thanks for helping me sort all this out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Ty Derry '87 Pioneeer Fayetteville, NC I am a full time student studying networking and doing some welding classes. Work as a part time IT guy at my church/school. Edit: I also work for Mission BBQ and I drive their deuce and a half that has a big smoker on the back.
  14. I will definitely keep that in mind. I was tempted to get fender flares and do this, but it isn't a project that I intend on doing soon. My top priority is to get the conversion done first.
  15. I'm down in NC and my truck is out of commission for the moment. It should be up by then though, so I will definitely try to go
  16. Are there other methods that people use to get a longer track besides spacers? I'm very new to this level of suspension work, and I want to make sure I am making the proper choice so my suspension is good, rather than the cheap way
  17. So how would I adjust the offset?
  18. The master cylinder on my 1987 MJ went out, and I am trying to swap it out. Everything has gone fine, until it was time to take the brake lines off the old master cylinder. I quickly learned that the fitting was completely seized and would not move. My father and I actually broke the fitting while trying to get it off with vice grips. I now need to buy a short brake line and fittings, and I was going to undo it from the proportioning valve. My main issue now is that I don't know what the size the line is. I've heard it may be 1/4, since it comes straight from the master cylinder into the proportioning valve, but I'm not certain. I also have no idea on how to find the correct brake line fittings. Any advice would be appreciated.
  19. I've been kinda curious if wheel spacers would look kinda good on a MJ, or would it look tacky. I've always been a fan of the stance of stadium trucks/short course trucks and was curious about a proper way to get a descent looking and modest stance that isn't overaggressive or gaudy. (Not the best pic, but you get the point)
  20. Ok. I'm also looking at doing a 4WD conversion, and I wan't to put Dana 44s under it, as it currently has a 35 under it. Where should I look for the axle, and if I have to get one that needs to be cut to size, what's the best way to go about that?
  21. Mine is a RWD 4.0. The A340E was only transmission to come on the 4.0 auto.
  22. I've thought I heard that people who attempt a manual swap sometimes have issues bolting an ax15 in the place of the A340E. You have any idea if this is true?
