  1. Sorry, I meant a set as in what I’ll need to complete what I’m missing.
  2. I’ve found them online and I’ve seen them at HF. The design on them was different though. Also not sure how thick they are because it doesn’t give those specs. I’ll try the dealer and see what happens, ty. If I strike out there maybe I can get a set here off someone. 👍
  3. Anyone know where to source these? I pulled my bed off recently and some of them were so corroded they broke apart when I tried to remove them. Also, I think I read somewhere that the spacers on the cross member were thicker/different height that the rest? Thanks guys
  4. WTH! Looks like I have a 2.5 airbox for a YJ. So I’m going to assume the air box is the same for the 4.0 as it is for the 2.5? Only difference is the air hat and hose assembly is different.
  5. My 87 doesn’t have a hose from the intake hat. Previous owner removed it and installed a pipe with a cone filter onto the intake hat. There was a 2.5 intake with all the hoses, etc still on it in the truck when I bought it. It doesn’t line up correctly though. The base for the original airbox is still there. I see one nut and two bolts to fasten it in the engine bay. The complete 2.5 airbox I have doesn’t have those three holes. It only has one mounting point and it’s on a plastic flange on the bottom with one hole that I’m assuming a bolt goes through to hold it in place on whatever vehicle it belongs to. Anyone have a pic of what a stock 2.5 airbox looks like? Ty
  6. Lol, I’ve been soaking the $#!& of all the nuts and bolts holding this thing on. These trucks take a beating living up here in the NE
  7. Thanks guys, got it off tonight.
  8. Ok, I have two sets currently. So if my test set ends up pooched I’ll swap them out, lol.
  9. Is it possible to get the clear coat off the chrome lettering by using the scotchbrite pad on it as well? That way at least the new black paint on the rest of the emblem would be protected.
  10. Awesome, thanks Pete! I was hoping to have it off tomorrow, but it’s supposed to pour all day 🤬
  11. Reviving an old thread, I’m in the process of removing the bed off my SWB. So far I have, passenger mid, and passenger rear left to come out. Those aren’t moving, so I stopped and sprayed them again. However I broke the two in the X-member just now. How screwed am I? Anyone try welding a nut on what’s left of the stud once the bed is off?
  12. Really? Thought I read the pick up was longer to account for the bigger tank? So if what you’re saying is right, the tanks all have the same depth, but the LWB tanks are just longer. Might be getting confused with the XJ compatibility? That simplifies the swap then
  13. Thank you, and I’m seriously blind. The original search brought up Home Depot as the top hit for that number, and I didn’t scroll down, wtf. Yup, it’s an Airtek pump. The sending unit doesn’t look like the MTS unit. I have a Crown catalog and it looks like an XJ fuel pump/ sending unit they sell. I’m gonna have to pull the sending unit/ pump off the donor I have. It’s a LWB but should have the 4.0 pump I need. Unfortunately I won’t be able to use the whole assembly because from what I’ve read the LWB units are different than the SWB.
  14. So I pulled my fuel pump/ sending unit out of my 2.5 so I could move the pump from my donor 4.0 to it. I tried to cross reference the numbers on it, but got no hits. So I can’t even tell if it had a 2.5 or possibly 4.0 pump already in it. Has anyone seen this particular brand before?
  15. Anyone running these front and rear with an 8.25 SOA and 5.5” lift springs up front?
  16. The PO did a crappy job on these so it came off pretty easy on the two I’ve stripped so far.
  17. Not sure who has used this stuff before but it works like magic. Old JK wheels that were Plasti dipped and looking crappy. Once stripped they looked like new. Also scored a free Leer bed cap but it’s gonna need a little work.
  18. Where did you purchase the aluminum overflow tank?
  19. I searched here and online. I could only find write ups for adding a sun visor. For anyone that has a moon visor, where did you run the wiring into the cab. I’m assuming tying into the parking lights would be the way to go or should I put it on a switch?
  20. Yeah I figured it would. Just don’t have the cash to dish out for one or else I would!
  21. Not sure if it’s been posted before? I’ve been stripping every little part off a donor 89 Comanche that’s way beyond repair. Been searching online for an easy way to strip rust off of small parts. I found this stuff and it really works! So far I’ve cleaned up my fuel filter bracket, nuts, bolts, screws, hood catch, and hood release bracket. I degrease everything first overnight. Then wash them off. Then they go into a container for two to three days. I filter out the residue once a day, check what’s clean, and dump the items that need more rust removal back into the container for another day or two. Once the items are clean you can see what’s worth saving or not. It can also be reused numerous times. There really isn’t much effort required and it saves me some cash because these little things add up quickly. Considering what it costs to go to the hardware store to get replacements for nuts and bolts that are all rusty/ crusty this stuff is a real money/ time saver.
  22. Ok, thanks guys! I’ve been soaking them for a couple days now. Probably gonna wait another week before I attempt anything.
  23. Anyone dealt with trying to remove a bed and the bolts are rusted to hell? If they break coming out is that repairable? I’m assuming the bolts are into welded nuts on the bottom of the bed? Any tricks you guys could share?
