All brand new. Regulator was leaking when I picked it up so I rebuilt the tbi unit top to bottom. Injector is a brand new standard brand but I did also just order a brand new ac delco because I wasn't happy with the spray pattern on the standard injector
-
Hmmm I wonder if I'm flooding at all when trying to restart.
-
Is 18 psi a little high for the tbi unit?

Yeah if no one takes them I definitely want the speedometer parts. Thanks.

ISA was dead on doing eagle's procedure

Looking for the speedometer gear housing that goes into the transfer case and the little holder for a NP207.

Huh interesting but good to know. Ill add it to the list of stuff to check tomorrow. I also just got the REM hooked up today and was playing around with it so I'm sure that'll give me some good info once I figure out the menus
-
Found your write up on it. Ill definitely be doing this tomorrow.
-
That part i do not know. Is there a writeup for it? Yes full cluster
-
When I turn it off the isa moves the throttle back to open so I believe its functioning. It'll only start if I feather the gas and itll slowly come to life. If I don't do anything itll just crank and crank.
-
Thats what I also have been thinking. I have stuff to make brand new fuel lines and ill be wrapping it in that.

Having issues with an 86 2.5 TBI. The thing will start perfect when cold but once I drive it and it gets hot, its a total pain to start. Have to crank and crank and feather the gas pedal to get it to start. Once it starts its perfectly fine. I have replaced, CPS - no change Ignition box, coil, cap and rotor - no change CTS - no change AIT - no change Fuel pump - no change Rebuilt the tbi unit with new regulator and injector Cleaned up all engine grounds and added new ones - no change. Its driving me nuts. The truck runs awesome and starts great when cold. Its just the hot starts that are a pain.

I know its not a comanche but I prefer this forum for anything renix related. Got a new fuel sender from MTS for my 86 cherokee 2.5 tbi. They don't make one specifically for the 86 tbi so I got an 87+ not realizing the ohm value is slightly different. I have a full cluster with the small gas gauge. Can those be swapped easily? 86 tbi senders are apparently impossible to find.

I would like to get the CAD working on my new to me 86 cherokee. This thing is staying completely stock and I think the disconnect feature is pretty neat and want it working. I'm going to have to replace all the vacuum lines, vacuum motor, and the switch on the transfer case. Anything else major I'm missing?

Awesome thanks man.

Looking for a set of four (4) chrome exterior door handles in decent shape. Thanks.

Ive seen their Instagram stuff when I was researching. And not necessarily a goonies build, but I really like the way that one looks and it fits the 80s look perfectly.
-
On the lookout for this grill guard if anyone has a lead. Still undecided, but still want to try to actually find one.
-
Thanks guys. I'm excited to get this thing back to near perfect mechanical condition. Going to be my daily when the comanche is down for upgrades. Ill get some better pictures once this snow goes away and I can get it all cleaned up.
-
I know its not a comanche but I think itll fit well here on the forum. Just picked up this 86 Cheif. 2.5 5 speed. Drove down with my buddy and roadtripped it 700 miles home and into a snowstorm. Not one single hiccup and got 22 mpg! This is gonna be a completely stock build, its already perfect in the looks department.

Big part of my jeep budget went to this setup but totally worth it. Took me a while to find everything I wanted. All yamaha equipment minus the speakers. The walls start to shake at half volume.
-
Definitely would do AN lines when I get around doing this. Thanks for the input, I'm gonna start to gather research and parts for this winter now.

Anyone do a hydroboost conversion for the brakes? I'm looking into it and just seeing if anyone has done it and how it was/works.
