  1. I'm about 89.999% sure that your problem is in your pads , I'm going to take a guess you have metalic pads . With the new pads the factorys are producing nowadays they have a very high metal content so they will last , the problem is more than likly a over sized peice of metal in one of your front pads . There's two ways of getting rid of the problem #1 you can take your truck out on the road saay at 50mph and do a panic stop with it , meaning don't lock up the breaks but as close as possible ! aka just before you break the seat belt and go through the windsheild , holder there ! may take a few times the rotor will get hot and sticky enough to grab the metal filling and throw it out . I've done this to my own as well as custormers cars before . Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't . #2 pull the front caliper and pads , look closly at the pads and chances are the largest peice of metal you see is the bad guy dig it out with your pocket knife reasemble and you "should be good to go . HOWEVER if you were just unlucky and got a overly high content in your pads " happens quite aften " chances are it could come back as your pads wear and a new peice of metal emerges . Hope this helps you . sorry about the spelling 22 hrs no sleep :rotf:  :rotf: :rotf:

  7. Just for a quick hint , I used a head liner from cherokee cut to lenght , cut "v's" in rear corners reglued the corners and fabric then installed the rear head liner speakers from a cherokee , Helps hold it in place also . Everything came from the donars so it didn't cost a dime . Was well worth the effort just for the amount of road noise it keep out !

  10. I run a 1995 4.0l h.o , auto , 4;10's , had 31's now 33's going back to 31's and lovin it ! I must say i fell in love with my mj when i drove it for the first time and from a dead stop on pavment it would spin the 31's it will the 33's also and with 235/75's on wet pavment well i sold my moustang to support my mj habit ! My 2 cents worth , by a cheap 4.0l cherokee 4x4 and do the swap you'll never regret it ! they are one of the most adaptable simplistic auto's out there , with a wide range of aftermarket support ! What can ya say it's a COMANCHE THANG ! Welcome 2 tha club ! THa MaDnesS ! :wall:  :wall:

  14. Looking for some opinions , i've done some research but figure it's just better to ask outwrite to those who have or those who were there when it was done . I've called on a few favours from friends i've caame up with this and that . A dana 44 front from a 1978 blue oval 1/2 ton , 3:50 gears complete $200.00 . I "think" it has the control arm "castings" on the tubes so possible another year . Has anyone ever cut them out then just retubed over top ? I'm seriously concidering converting it to leafs in the front , can i use a wagoneer steering set up with a drop pitman arm to bring it all together ? For the rear i've come up with a 9" ford again late 70's blue oval , 3:50's , $200.00 what's a good setup to convert this to rear disk ? Thought of newer style front disk from ????? blue oval fronts"" then taking a set of calipers and caliper retainers from a wagoneer or "other" front dana 44 and grafting together . I will be running 33's and would be installing 4:11's once the bank account built up again . If i'm on the right track let me know if theres a ceaper or easier way let me know please . At my desposal in my price range i have the rights to Dana 44's " from wagoneer " front pinion passengers side" 1985 blue oval 4x4 3/4 ton , pair of dana 44 blue ovals drivers pinion , pair 9" fords rear .1987 mj parts truck . and the local parts store but they won't give me the parts when the little machine says declined :dunno: 'O" and 9" because i'm a little old skool .
