  1. Me too! Never thought id see one. Or find one for that matter!
  2. It honestly looks like i could make my own harness so long as i get a connector that will fit the switch from looking at the wiring diagram
  3. Crap! Had i known that i would have grabbed that from the beginning! Thank you for the wiring diagram though! I might have another trip planned. I found an 87 xj with a factory dana 44 i wanted to grab for my truck in the yard.
  4. coming right up! One sport bar light switch. With part number! Displayed in my truck though its an absolute mess. I also need assistance with finding the wiring for it in my truck. Ive found two plugs that could work on the left side, one being used by the factory fogs the other was tapped up. But it does not reach the right side ans there are no plus for that spot on the right side. Weird.
  5. 1989 jeep comanche short bed pioneer? Its been repeated the same color and a lot of the options don't make it seem like it is. 4 cylinder, 5 speed i believe, 2wd. Blue on grey with bench seat and dummy lights. Banged up but not a rot box for a new england jeep. Hit in the nose on the passenger side and supposedly the motor is blown. But it cranks and the fuel pump primes so the important things are working at least lol its located in ADT auto service in western Massachusetts and the owner said it has a title and would let it go for $300.
  6. That will be next pete!
  7. 1989 jeep comanche short bed! Poor girl has seen better days.. Shes a a 4 cylinder, i believe it was a 5 speed, 2 wheel drive, short bed. Dana 35 rear gears unknown. I believe its a pioneer but the truck has been resprayed same color. Located in western Massachusetts in a service centers yard. However its not a junkyard per se. Not on the road obviously but title is still around. It was parked because supposedly the engine is blown. I could not get it to kick over, i tried. It sounded weird cranking so i believe that the engine could be blown However it did crank, fuel pump works too! And accidentally cranked it in gear and it rolled a bit so trans is good lol Also it was smacked on the passenger front. Not sure the story on that but fender and header are junk. As far as options its very weird for a pioneer as its very base model. Light blue exterior, grey interior, chrome interior accents, dummy light cluster, bench seat with mini consol. Factory cassette radio, No AC, tilt column no cruise control. Had a swb sport bar with marchel fog lights and factory sport light switch but the sport bar was added. There were no brackets and the light switch did not turn on the lights.(yes i took them) Just truck is down but not out. It can be rescued. Or used for parts.
  8. Honestly i know all those parts are valuable i don't want to take too much from it. Id rather see it stay.. mostly intact and have someone save it. But drip rails are black and getting rusty. don't remember if it had the carpet board but i did grab the b pillar lights. Broken though, no big surprise. It is a bench seat truck and the headliner was still up there(there was a wasp nest in the fabric though) so i didnt want to yank things out carelessly.. The truck was also sunk into the ground a bit so fuel pump and sendor wasnt happening.. If someone on the east coast wants this truck for parts or project i have the location. I just don't want to be posting someones service center on here without permission and having people flood there just for parts, you know?
  9. Yes sir i plan on getting the vin
  10. Like the cherokee onea that screw to the console and posted above?
  11. OKAY, life got away from me and i forgot about this post.. lol I decided i wouldnt do words my dad brought up an interesting point that chrysler might own the rights to the name 'comanche' so it wouldnt be wise to do that. Ive been working on and off on this project. Trying to make a nice snug delete plate and tweaking cup holders so a "big chug" cup can fit at least one cup holder
  12. Yes i did! The others though i did not.. don't even have a history on previous comments. Weird
  13. The whole truck is shockingly clean! Very little rot. Cab corners are only just starting to bubble and scale. However passenger front got smacked good. So needs some body work and a new fender/header. Ill be going back ill grab more photos and the vin. I forgot again lol
  14. I never got any notice of the comments going on here.. oops lol I grabbed as much goodies as i could. Rear window seal came out perfect. No tears but that is sold. Tail lights, also sold though lol The truck is for sale! Has a title! Owner of the shop said hed let it go for a whopping $300. Supposedly the motor is blown but it does at least crank and i did hear the fuel pump prime. The wheel wells have some crust but its actually surprisingly solid for a new england jeep Sadly no room for it. Otherwise i would bring it back.. It did have the sport bar light switch! And I'm keeping it for my truck. I know how rare this little switch is. Lol The plow was not for the truck, it was just there. It was resprayed but the same color. It was smacked in the nose and the motor supposedly blew which is why it was parked. But not junked. Can still be saved!
  15. 89 2.5 5 speed 2x4 short bed. Says pioneer but the trucks been sprayed over so no clue if its true. Sadly forgot the grab the vin. Will tomorrow when i go back. Grabbing the roll bar, got tail lights already and other obvious odds and ends. This yard is litered with renix parts! My friend tipped me off to this place. Which is actually a service center that amassed cars in the back. And this was one of them. Talked to the owner and hes allowed me to wander the back and buy whatever parts i want :) Bunch of renix cherokees, two door and 4 door all of them late 80s I'm just excited because i never find them!
  16. Not a bad idea. If i had one to get dimensions off of i probably could. As of right now i don't though..
  17. So a while back i had this idea for mini console swaps to add cupholders to the open space they have. My brother has a 3D printer and I finally got my hands on a mini console that had the shifter plate so i took measurements with a micrometer and took to CAD modeling! Even as a delete panel its not bad. This was trial print 1 without cup holders just to see if demensions were right. And they mostly were. Tabs were placed wrong and weak. Went back did more adjustments, redid the tabs and added the cup holders! ...and tried to add "comanche" but i was tired and accidentally did "comane" instead... hahah All in all took me about a week, designing, trial printing, tweaking and this is the results! Was a lot of fun but still needs some tweaks. i had to do small amounts of trimming to the edges of the console but nothing that ruins the look. And since i have multiple templates saved from going step by step i can add or change other designs too! Single cup holder with pocket, just pocket, or even delete panel!
  18. AN UPDATE! a long overdue one at that.. I finally found the issue! And now i need to figure out why!? The headgasket popped on the motor with only 116k miles on it! And the heater core too.. greaaaattt... I picked up a combustion chamber leak detection kit and it gave me my answer. That and when the tstat opened the coolant violently bubbled out.. This motor was good when purchased and was good for a while after installing it. And not once did it overheat.. My confusion and aggravation now is.. WHAT THE MADE 3 ENGINES POP?!?!?!?! Could the cats be clogged and causing excessive backpressure out the headgasket? Thats the only thing i can think of thats caused THREE different motors to pop.. But what do you guys think could have caused this motor to go too?
  19. What about using a zj power mast for parts?
  20. Hows $10 sound?
  21. Did you end up finding any? I saw your post and knew i had one somewhere and found it. Only have one side though. No cracks just scuffs
  22. can't recall if theres steam honestly.. Ill do that. I almost feel like letting it run with the cap off and letting it dump into a bucket to see what it does
  23. Its slow, it takes a few weeks before it says low coolant. Time stamp on the photos on my phone say march 27th actually. But she told me since covid she only drives jt once a week. Rarely twice. I can't see anything drop while its running or cooling off honestly. Its really mindboggling to me.. And i appreciate any and all ideas at this point. I can't really say about the freeze plug..
  24. 180/185 something like that. Its bellow the 195 temp rated tstat because i wanted it to try amd run cooler. Which it has
  25. It is quite a stretch. It had some coolant left so i filled a gallon with water and poured it in and into the overflow. And thats the weird thing, thats one of the few things i am looking for but it never bubbles. With the cap off with it running the coolant wants to just flow out but its not bubbling out.
