  1. No but it uses 3 straps (like the 23 gallon, I’m told.) I’ll measure later today... Here’s what it looks like out of the truck:
  2. Mine came with the 16 gallon tank. So I don't know if anything I'm saying is helping. Sorry.
  3. Also, looks like they fabbed a tall mount for the panhard bar. Does it look OK? Gonna put the 4.5 Rubicon Express coils on my Comanche and hoping to reuse the stock bar. I need to get some longer lower control arms so if y'all have any suggestions, please advise. TIA
  4. Is '92 the only year or will '92-'95 all work? edit: just noticed you said get one FOR a '92 (as in a new one), not "from" a '92...
  5. Yes. That looks like the pump that came out of my '87 long bed.
  6. Trying to understand ^^this^^. Are you saying a factory HO header will work in a renix head and intake as long as some grinding is performed on the renix intake? If so that seems like the easiest route.
  7. Ha! That sounds like a much better approach than buying al that other stuff for an 8 HP gain! Is there a header that you'd suggest to improve exhaust in addition to eliminating the "crush" in my head pipe or was THAT what your suggestion (replace stock exhaust manifold) ?
  8. Thanks. HESCO has a lot of interesting products. I thought about the plunge (going full HO, harness and all) but decided I want to keep the renix computer since it's supposedly more forgiving to upgrades - not to mention for nostalgia. Off topic......what are they referring to when they say "get the RE coils" for front coil spring lift? I've searched Amazon and Google but found nothing.
  9. Thanks! I figured that if there was only one guy here who had done this swap, he would be you. Hahahaha. I found an adapter for my throttle body to a '99+ intake. Also found a company that bores out the renix TB and installs new butterfly, pin, spring, etc... Ive got a spare parts 2002 Grand Cherokee that I'm robbing the intake and power steering pump bracket off of. Should I get the pump as well?
  10. Can't believe I stumped the band with this one.....
  11. Forgot to add that the exhaust manifold seems to have a leak in it, so..... may as well try to upgrade all of it.
  12. Somehow the vacuum was not on the fuel pressure regulator. Plugged it back on and seems to be running fine.
  13. Something screwy happened. I thought I submitted the new thread but it never refreshed my browser. So I clicked it again and next thing ya know.....2 threads.
  14. So I noticed my water pump making a bunch of noise. I got one but figured I would remove and replace the stock radiator to upgrade to an open system. Well, if I am gonna take the radiator off, why not do the head/intake/exhaust swap while I'm at it? have any of you done this swap and if so what did you do to mate the renix TPS to the '99 throttle body? TIA
  15. Will do. I meant to get some today when I bought a water pump and fuel filter. Poured a bottle of SeaFoam in the tank and gassed up. Almost immediately started missing and sputtering! Barely got it home! At idle it's not missing but under load it seems like it's running on 4 cylinders. Any suggestions?
  16. I bought a Ford 8.8 out of an Explorer for $75. Years ago when I bought a '99 TJ the guy threw in an HP 30 with 4.56 gears in it. So I've gotta install 4.56 in the 8.8 then swap the axles. I'm hoping someone can enlighten me on which Moog coil spring I will need to fit 34" Swamper TSL narrows under my truck. Gonna fab the links and shock mounts. Again, any and all advice is appreciated.
  17. After I got the tank back in I took the sway bar off then went off roading. To my pleasant surprise the front end decided to engage! Previously it would not. Anyway, just like that I had 4wheel drive. This is the max articulation I could get with the factory shocks.
  18. Washed it out with water. Cleaned most of the gunk out. I then decided to beat the heck out of the baffle till a Cherokee sending unit would fit in there (somehow or another.) This is an old tank so why not experiment with it till I decide on a permanent fix? Anyway this is what the new sending unit looked like after I "modified" the tank:
  19. Decided to clean this one. I pored two gallons of muriatic acid in the tank and soaked it over night. Then pressure washed it. It's really clean now. Next I'm gonna modify the Cherokee sending unit to fit in my tank. Then I'm gonna seal the tank with "something"..... Any suggestions would be appreciated.
