  1. Guys here with the metric ton D44's may be different. But if your replacing it with a bare D44 housing all the mounts should work the same. several companys out there make all the heavey dut perches and shock mounts including Rubicon Express.

  3. I highjacked the link from PeterMonte's post above. As for the swap, I have always heard that the 87's up had their firewall pushed back to shoe horn the 4.0 in.

  10. Yea I was the one looking for flatbed pics. I want to build something similar to yours with hanging storage boxes to match the the lower body lines of the cab doors. Keep us posted on your spare tire location. Good job, JeeppinTom.

  13. Hey everybody. Just pulled in a Brown 86 Comanche X : 2.8 auto lwb. Motor is shot. Will most likely replace with a junkyard 3.4. I have always wanted one of these MJ's. Rather had have a 4.0, but $100 is not to bad investment. Anyway needed a small truck, and being a Jeeper it fit the bill. I will have few questions soon.
