Don't pay good money for an alignment. Do it yourself. Plenty of write-ups on the web and it's very easy to do in your driveway. -
So my 87 left me stranded for the first time...

New Name Project SKY HIGH!

First off sorry for the loss. On a better note you have alot of great parts to transfer over to the next one. I will keep an eye out here in Fallon for a donor, I have seen so many out here. Also next to the bosses house in Reno there are two of them that don't move so often. One of them is even an eliminator. Again glad you and your passengers are not damaged, let me know if you need some help with anything. Chris -
its only been months but finally had a chance to work on my problem. ended up being the fuel pump, not sure if the pump was actually bad but the rubber hose in the tank was gone so probably could have just changed that one dollar part and it would have, maybe, worked. oh well. thanks for the input, alot of posts are gone because of the Houdini sunday thing, but thanks just the same. Chris

I know what the ballast resistor is and where it's normally at but not on my 2.5.
-
On the 2.5 there is no room like on the 4.0 that's why I was asking if another location is known?
-
Does an 87, 2.5, ax4 have one and if so where?
-
first off the mj is an 87, 2.5, ax4, 2wd problem started all of the sudden. it will start but won't stay running, i can feather the pedal to keep it going but let off the gas and it stalls out. I just don't know where to start in the search function but this 2.5 is new to me and i need some CC knowledge, of course this started when I'm in the middle of moving and had the trailer loaded already. :fs1: so where do i start
-
Well I hope I get that many miles out of it. To help it I gave it a tune-up, changed all the fluids, put my new spare set of tires on, replaced the ignition lock, and gave it a good scrubbing. For not being driven for seven years it sure runs good. I'm pretty happy with it. I still need to bleed the brakes, I forgot to do that before I gave it the test drive

yeah the outside is as good as he said the interior needs lets say a couple gallons of simple green but for what i need it for its perfect. i just havent researched alot about the four cylinder motors and there reliability?

Spoke to the guy from craigslist again today and found out a few more details. It is a long bed, I'm actually partial to a short box but I'm not gonna sweat that small detail, the exhaust is cut right behind the cat con. So picking that up tommorrow. It also has a roll bar in it. I was thinking about one in my 87 so I guess that option is closer to reality now. It has a sound system in it so I'm expecting another rewire job. My 18 year old will get the big speakers I don't need them. All in all feelin better about the blind buy but he hasn't got my money yet. So hopefully he's telling me the truth and not blowin smoke. Still excited, and surprisingly the wife is a little bit too. She doesn't care about all the tech side of it only that it looks cool when I'm done with it. But on board is on board right?

The shell was the most beat up part of the truck. No rear window.
