    My new car...

When I said shoulder I meant left of the solid yellow. You could call it a median if you wanted. No reason to get upset. I was just stating my opinion and clearly said so. On my tombstone it will say "pulled his car off the road after every accident if it was possible to do so". Also like I said feel free to leave your car wherever you want. I really don't care.

    My new car...

Yes. Serious. That car could be pulled onto the shoulder. The passing lane is not meant to have cars parked on it. Many law enforcement officers are killed every year responding to traffic accidents and they have flashing lights and a light bar on the rear. Also I'm fairly certain its Colorado law that you move accident vehicles out of the roadway if possible. Could be wrong. I work in traffic setups on busy roads every weekday and have learned to fear other drivers. I would have pulled that car onto the shoulder first thing. But that's me. Feel free to leave yours in the passing lane on a 75 MPH jam packed interstate.

    My new car...

Why wouldn't you pull your car completely off the road before taking pictures? I25 is a dangerous and busy road. You put yourself and others at risk.
  4. Damn. These storms are crazy for sure. Not much hail up north but I haven't worked in over a week from all the rain. I'm sorry to hear about your property damage and lost critters. Sometimes all you can do is be happy you're still on the right side of the dirt.

    MJ for Sale

I've done the same thing minus the phone call. I always search for "Comanche" and "mj". I figured it out when the add started talking about crystals and red hairs. Did Jeep ever offer them as an option on base Comanches?

  7. Ok. I took it apart. Cleaned it up. It was already clean. Cleaned the button as best I could and the circuit board where it was attached. Hooked it back up and it is the same. Am and cassette work excellent but FM is barely audible and doesn't pick up in stereo. The seek button still picks up and stops on stations but even close stations won't light up the ST indicator on the display. It has leds inside and has Mitsubishi logos stamped on the boards. How long have leds been around? I talked to a man who claimed he had the same problem on an old Pontiac. He couldn't completely remember but thought it was something with a ground and the antenna. Does that rattle anything loose in anyone's head? I tried a rigged antenna directly to the unit and had same results as before.
  8. Thanks Jim ... I'll take a look.. The no stereo light coming on had the antenna on my mind Hope you are feeling well and enjoying this cooler weather.
  9. I have been working on this project for a week now and can't figure it out. My truck had a pioneer tape deck in it that worked great and suited my needs. It had an auxiliary input. I found an AMC radio from what I think is an XJ. I hooked it up and everything but FM works like it should. I can pick up stations but the stereo light doesn't come on. I also have to turn it all the way up to barely hear anything. AM works with normal volume as does the tape player. I have good connection at the antenna cable behind the radio but can't confirm beyond that. It does have a power antenna wire but everything I've read says leave it unconnected. Help me .... I want to go cruise it but need tunes.
  10. Super creepy. ....
  11. I'm still interested in picking it up. I thought about it and figured I could set it on it's side and strap it good. My only secure anchors are inside the bed. I will be there Saturday afternoon. I will be able to firm up the time tomorrow (Fri. 29th) evening. Does that work for whoever is involved?
  12. I could pick it up on Saturday afternoon if it is still available. Would it fit in the back of a f150? If not it could complicate things.
  13. I wanted to learn to fly. I got 3hrs under my belt and ran out of flying cash. If you need a test pilot, I think I can remember the basics.
  14. It has been hot lately. I got sick from the heat about a week ago. It sneaks up on you and you don't notice till its too late. Stay cool, fall will be here soon.
  15. Nevermind, saw a post from him from yesterday. Sorry for being worried.
  16. Has anyone heard from Jim? Haven't seen any posts from him which is unusual. Jim if you read this, I hope all is good for you.
  17. I'm showing your list of vehicles to my wife. Maybe she will finally shut her mouth about my MJ and XJ and f150.
  18. And I ran .... I ran so far away.... That rust makes me sad... but seriously run away from that poor truck ...

    Oh My Gawd

The gun laws are BS... I agree .... We also voted as a state to get rid of emission testing. Some state level politician must have lost some money because now a couple years later they brought it back without a vote by the people.

    Oh My Gawd

The lack of rust in Co is also due to the low humidity.

    Oh My Gawd

Magnesium chloride is corrosive to aluminum . You can drink a whole cup of it and not get sick. I see damn few rust buckets here in Co. Maybe if all the rust bucket states had better economies they could afford mag chloride.
  22. The needle should have a smooth arch
  23. Tps might have a dead spot wore into it. To test use an analog volt meter and watch the needle as you slowly manipulate the throttle.
  24. I like the sound of the bars clanking around too. Also I was standing on a tail gate of a Chevy that had cables and they busted. The power trowel on the tailgate fell too and bent up the blades. The cables get moisture in them and break where the cable folds when the gate is closed. I know this takes along time to happen but I have never seen the metal bars fail.
