  1. When I replaced the regulator the plastic clip that holds the gas line to it has fell apart. I can't find one locally. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? I think it is the quick connect clip.
  2. Everything lines up properly. What harm can I do driving home? It could be interesting with no reverse. Could it be a linkage issue? I just had a long block installed.
  3. I am in East TN, 444 miles from home. I have no reverse, it trys to go forward in neutral, it changes gears ok and seems to be ok in forward gears, The part time light flashes on and off when in 4 wd high. She has plenty of fluid, What are ya'lls thoughts? I have a great mechanic back in FL. I am thinking about driving it back for him to work on jt. Could this be a computer issue? What years computers are compatible with my 88 Laredo 4wd 4 liter automatic.? HELP Bill

  7. I have finally saved enough money to get a good paint job on my MJ. I need a Laredo emblem for the side and the 4X4 fot the tail gate. Can some one out there help me out, work is starting tommorow. Bill
  8. I have finally saved enough money to paint my mighty jeep. I need the factory Laredo emblem, its missing from the driver's side and the tail gate 4X4 emblem. I will happily pay postage to Pace Florida. Thanks Bill
  9. Last Saturday, I lost the right rear axel on my MJ in Sweetwater. I had it towed to Miller's Automotive and they are having problems locating parts. It is an 88 longbed 4 by with an automatic and the 4 liter engine. Can anyone help in locating a usable rear end? I am running out of vacation time. I am located in Coker Creek which is just south of Tellico Plains. Thanks, Bill
  10. I live on the coast in FL, I'm in TN at about 2000 elevation In Coker Creek, my MJ has no power going uphill, like 15-25 mph with the pedel to the metal. I have a 400 mile trip home at the end of the week and really need some help. I am in SE TN near Telico Plains, What is wrong with my truck? I pulled a trailer from FL here with no problems It started the next day. I'm on a borrowed computer and will check back asap any suggestions I am no mechanic thanks, Bill

  16. It roars, one of the first thing replaced when I bought her, functioning well but I sure don't like the sound. Any ideas short of a new one? bbe
  17. A TCU out of an 87-90 4.0 automatic XJ or MJ will work. 4wd or 2wd makes no difference. I got mine off e-bay for $1.00 plus S&H. Fixed the same issue.

  20. I have an 88 auto 4/d and occasionally the engine just spins no fire getting to it. I have replaced coil, and the distributor system. I have found when it will not start I can shake the hell out of the wiring on top of the fire wall and it will start. Anyone know which wires in there will do this?

  22. I have been trying to get the panel off but there is not enough room between it and the seat so far. What is the trick on the plastic connectors holding the links together? I sure could use some help here. I don't want to cut the panel, it is pretty nice. I am visiting my brother in the wilds of TN. I am in Coker Creek near Tellico Plains if anyone is near by.   23. I can't get the drivers side door to open. The key will not effect it nor the lever handle inside. I am trying to get the panel off, i'm pretty sure something is disconnected or broke between the lever and latch but with the door closed am having trouble getting it loose. Both rods are connected at the inside handle. bbe
  24. This sounds very possible, this morning it would not start so I put jumper cables to the battery had the pause then it started. thanks, bbe
  25. When I turn the key nothing happens, there is a pause, then the starter turn over normally so far. There is a relay mounted with 2 screws between the starter and battery, where and what should I be looking for? bbe
