I have not found one yet. I am the only comanche driver I know. TPS throttle position sensor? Everything looks to be plugged into the TCU. I have not had the ECU out of the truck. I am hopeing to find a used one, rebuilt ones are over $300.

They are under the dash on the back of the front below the glove box. I was told 87-90 automatic xj or mj 6 cy. will work

It will not change gears. All the gears work fine when changed manually. I have power on the computer.

Mine's dead, the numbers on it are 8953 005 305 and AC 10766 8 88D. What is compatable with it?

1988 auto 4x4 6 cylinder numbers on the computer are 8953 005 305 and AC 1076 8 88D

Thanks for all the information, I sure could of used it when the crank shaft sensor went out. My mechanic needs an amc wiring diagram for the tranismission computer with wire colors etc. There is no power on the computer. bbe

I have an 88 automatic 4l 4wd that is not getting power to the transmission computer. The set up does not match the wiring diagrams from chrysler or mitchell. I need the amc wiring diagram. It is in the best transmission shop in town and he has about given up. I went online ready to buy a factory manual found your site and I sure hope some one can help.
