I just bought an 89 MJ 4.0 2wd 5 speed. Looks like the dash harness caught on fire by the radio.One of the previous owners started a repair or butchery. The harness has been cut in 1/2. There is another harness that they started to install at the bulkhead. I unplugged it to try to determine what I'm up against. Looks like the replacement harnesses has about 5 or 6 different electrical plugs that are completely different. I saw a post about a week and half ago stating use a XJ harness and just add a wire for the brake lights. Now I'm back from a weeks vacation I can't find any writes now. Ugh. My MJ owners manual states 80w-90. If vehicle is equipped with tow package use 80w-140 add 4oz of friction modifier if have limited slip. There should be a tag on the rear diff hopefully Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Most likely the manifold is cracked very common. I know at one time Thorley header did make header for the Renix era but it was short lived. To continue the ho head ports are different so I'm not sure if that will work. Us Renix era have little support Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
