  5. So I got a 4WD '96 AX-15 with an NP231 from a junkyard. Still have to go pull the front axle BUT here's how it looks with new paint: Still needs a polish and a few details worked out

  8. Transmission was still there so I started pulling it. Discovered this: Why weld when you can just use screws? Also: For the top two bolts of the bellhousing.

  15. I was having intermittent shut off while driving issues with mine, but since I have a rod bearing issue, I ended up just having the engine rebuilt. Only electrical component that was changed was the TPS (replaced with MOPAR part) and the distributor. I had previously already replaced the distributor but they told me something was wrong with the one that I had installed. Hasn't shut off since

  17. I sped read through your '91 build write up. On assembly, did you have to drill holes for both sides on the D44? I saw a video mentioning it when assembling a D30

  20. Welcome! Renault did own AMC when this Jeep was made, so there is some French heritage in this truck imo, along with the whole Renix thing.
