I’m swapping over from a Peugeot to the external Ax15. Can i reuse the front driveshaft from the Peugeot? Also random question but is there a way to see if the transfer case works before i install it?

I was able to stop my death wobble (so i think) by tightening my track bar mount. All four bolts were loose, and by loose i mean 1 thread till coming off....

I have one of those on my truck, it’s a great bumper for the price. Came with light pods, d-rings, and wiring for the pods. The bull bar is bolt on so its optional if you want it on or not. My winch fits perfectly on it too. Cons, I’d say are the welds are “okay” (at least on the one i received), it mounts like a stock bumper would. I would of liked to see it tie into frame rails (I’m working on improving the mounts for mine) and my bullbar came scratched but again, you get what you pay for And to answer your question, yes you need to cut the fenders in order to fit the bumper

Had the truck a couple months, has 92k I’ve driven it about 400miles. No lift, no new tires. The track bar mount was loose and i tightened it up and it still does the death wobble

So i recently had gotten what i think is death wobble. My truck will act perfectly normal at any speeds but once it hits a series of bumps or big bump (happens above or at 40mph) the steering wheel will shack violently and the truck will bounce up and down rapidly until i slow down to 5mph then it will return to normal. The whole truck cab shacks and it feels as if the dash is going to fall into your lap. The truck has new shocks may i add

Yes! I’m basically looking for something like that but i would have more of the kayak in the bed, also what Dzimm said would work as well, mount to drop rail with piece of steak tube... just don’t want the kayak resting on the cab itself and want to be able to tie it down as well

What supporting mods need to be done when putting on 4.5in coils? Should i just stick to my plan of 3in coils? Found a deal on a set. I’ll be putting on a winch bumper w/ winch so the front will have some weight on it. Currently have 2017 rubicon shocks with bar pin eliminators

Recently picked up a new to me comanche and it looks to have factory decals on it but I’ve never seen these before. It’s an eagle under the “comanche” fender badge followed by some pinstripes... anyone ever see this before??

Yeah I’m getting the Jeep for 600$. It has 92k miles and it’s a metric ton package as well so i wanna jump on it ASAP

Thanks everyone for their input. Jeep is an 88’ and the owner swapped in the ax15 with external slave as an upgrade but found out no 3rd and lost interest. I’m gonna look for already rebuilt ones (cheaper obviously) and put it in myself. Also new clutch flywheel ect when ax15 went in but I’ll find out

Just curious if anyone has gotten their ax15 rebuilt and roughly how much it cost them? Have the opportunity of buying a nice comanche but the trans has no 3rd gear so it’ll need to be rebuilt, called a shop and mechanic said he needs truck in shop to give a quote.

I have a set of tow mirrors from a comanche I’ll basically give you, they don’t stay in place anymore and the inside sounds very rusty when you shack them. Maybe you could repair the insides?

Going with stock 4 leaf for now. I will look into the jk shocks, i had no idea those could work?!?

Going to be installing a 3in lift in the front and then some Chevy drop shackles in the rear along with new leaf springs. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for shocks? Heard mixed reviews with the rough country ones. Not looking to break the bank... max budget probably 200$ for the shocks. Thanks guys and gals!

Yes, unless the chief is manual or if it’s the opposite wheel base as your current truck. Yes parts will still work either way but you run into different driveshaft lengths, spline counts... ect
