My truck did the same thing at first... It sat for like six months... It went away after a little while. I don't have the newer speedo but maybe the speedo jumps because it sat for so long at the bone yard? Sean

None of the tools i have are narrow enough to squeeze in to get my doors off... Does anyone have a pic or anything of the tool the use? When i stripped the 86 i just got frustrated and cut the hinges, but i don't want to do that on my normal truck. :mad: :dunce:

I work at a junkyard here in CT and i gotta say. It sucks seeing Comanches come in and seeing them go in the crusher. We have two right now that will prolly enter the crusher before the end of the week. I don't know the point of me saying this but yea. Sean

I don't know how far you want to travel but I know of one here in CT. It's out in stafford. It's a manual shortbed 2 point whatever... not a 4.0 :cry: . The guy told me 2 or 3 hundred like a month ago. He said when you fill the gas tank over half way it leaks and sometimes when you start it it shoots oil from the motor. It's an 88.

What's different about a 97 XJ rear?

why don't i just keep the xj springs on the xj rear and put on my mj? I'm trying to avoid welding. (in case you can't tell, I really don't know much about this stuff)

will the front axle work?

I have a 1988 mj and i'm getting a cherokee for parts. I think the cherokee is a 1990... maybe. If I take the front and rear axles and auto tranny, will everything work? My mj is 2wd but i'm trying to make it 4wd. Both have auto trannys and 4.0 motors. Are there any problems i'll run in to?
