it is kind of wierd, we have 4 red trucks at our house, mine, willys, cummins, escape and an outcast. my moms silver 05 tj rocky mountain edition.

now after all of that input, i am not sure what i am going to do.

here's a pic of the jeep right after the paint job, still 2wd with my dads 56 willys that has a AMC 401, 40in irocks, and my dads 93 cummins.

i was just hoping to make a long arm kit and keep all of the other suspension stuff i have. 6.5 rustys coils, shocks.

i will be taking my truck to the badlands sometime this summer before i start college, so i was seeing if anyone would want to go also. maybe get a few comanches down there and have some fun.

so you think it wouldn't be an ideal setup for a dd/minor off roader?

what do you mean by "quick and dirty". whats so bad about them. as far as selling my adjustable control arms, i would have to see. i have 2in shackles, 2in add a leaf, 3 inch coils, 2 inch spacers that i am trying to sell as a kit. so i might add the control arms in the package.

i am gonna be making my own. way cheaper

so i was thinking of going to a long arm setup. did anyone ever make one and do you have any pictures of it. i know the concept, just need to see some pics of one.

i already got my intake, now the next thing is a warn 8000lb winch. i am on spring break right know so i am going to work pretty hard on it this week.

i don't have the specs per say, but the truck sits at 40 inches from ground to center of flare all around with the 33s and lift. i got the rear fender panels off of a 2dr cherokee in the junkyard. http://rustysoffroad.com/

i try and wave at every xj or mj that i see around town. there a few nice lifted xj's and tj's around that i usually wave to and get a wave back. a local girl who works at the NAPA has a pretty nice tj with a lift and some swampers.

i replaced my rear main seal 3 times in the past month and it still leaks a little bit. i know i am putting it in right. the engine has 135000 miles on it. our cherokee does the same thing and it has 150000 miles. is it just the mileage or am i over looking something.

i have the rustys 4 inch leaf springs in the back and the ride is awesome. i like there service and the quality of product to.

i say go for it. it wasnt that hard and i learned a lot from it. it took about 3-4 weeks for me to do it working every night. i got screaming deals on everything so that made it way better. like a tranny and t-case for 75 bucks off ebay. front and rear axles and adj lower control arms for 500 bucks all in good condition. just look around for good deals before spending a lot.

Recent stuff purchased: Rustys air tube 6X9 K&N Rustys 4 inch rear leaf springs new water pump 3 core radiator the leafs raised the rear up a lot more because i had a 1 inch shackle and 2 inch add a leaf that made it ride like crap and it was higher in the front by one inch. now the rear is higher by 2in more pics soon i am also looking for a winch and winch mount bumper

when i painted my eliminator last summer, i tried to use a black rubber one because one of my painted flares was pretty bad but we had a hard time making it look good. i then tried painting my bad red one and got it to look pretty good. sandind the rubber ones are pretty dificult so i would get a set of painted ones.

cool, I'm trying to get a big group of MJ's to go down there to show everybody what a real truck looks like.

the first annual 4 wheel jamboree in Sprignfield IL is being held June 23 and 24. i was seeing if anybody wanted to go. i bringing my comanche and other people are bringing there trucks.
