  1. Nice looking MJ! I like the heat shield for the air intake.
  2. Nice work on the interior.
  3. I think my '86 travelled the farthest, bought in Bremerton, Washington. Travelled to Oregon and Oakland, California. Shipped to Subic Bay Philippines - 8,113 miles.
  4. Yes, but we are the one paying.....
  5. Nice score!
  6. here's a good link: http://www.fourwheeler.com/thehistoryof ... index.html
  7. If I have to replace my HO MJ pump, can the XJ be made to work? Or is the MJ pump still available?
  8. Wish I had thought about that. Only had a couple days to decide, State Farm hauls them off real quick. There was almost no damage to the front. I wanted to get it for my dad for the hills. Didn't really care if the frame was bent. Oh well.
  9. Well since we've revived this, may as well update. My daughter has the truck in Oregon as her DD until the insurance companies sort everything out. Then she can decide what she wants to find for a new rig. I suppose she might decide she likes the MJ, but the 5 spd in city traffic gets old quick. On a side note: We weren't sure about Oregon regs on the smoked tail lights so I replaced them. You still interested Wiz?
  10. Pretty sure its 8-91, its back on page 1 somewhere. :brows: Thanks... Rob L.
  11. Yeah, thats why I asked, however, after seeing the frame damage and the rear axle shifted forward I felt there was most likely damage all the way to the crank?
  12. My daughter was 4th in a 5 car pile up. needs a bit of frame work... She tapped the car in front of her, then got hammered by the guy behind her. She did not have rental coverage and had the only vehicle in her house, college kids.... So I loaned her the '92 MJ, I only got to drive it for 3 weeks! I learned one thing from this, there is a thing called Gap Insurance that you can get when you purchase a car. Apparently, regular car insurance only pays what the car is worth regardless of what is owed to the bank. Gap insurance covers the difference. She owed $15,000 and the truck was worth $10,500. The extra $4500 would have been out of pocket if not for the Gap insurance. She paid $250 for the Gap coverage. I have purchased several vehicles and never heard of this, fortunately I never had to total a car. I asked what State Farm wanted for the truck and they quoted $993. Not worth it with the drive train most likely damaged.
  13. Nice work! Looks good up close, how about a pic from abit more distance?
  14. :hijack: I would be very interested in seeing the whole list of things you have seen, think we could bother you to write it all down?
  15. Congrats! That pic of you climbing the mountain side is Priceless!
  16. Hahaha, more proof that Pete is everywhere you can find a MJ.
  17. Aye, but isn't 175 a bit low for a modified? I thought you were going for alot faster than that?
  18. Have you seen this site? http://home.comcast.net/~lakeviewcruiser/site/ - World's Fastest Jeep Comanche The Lakeview Cruiser
  19. Welcome to the club! Nice looking MJ!
  20. Wow, nice work! I have thought about a diesel upgrade, but no way I can do that kind of mod.
  21. Slightly off-topic, but maybe we should start a pool for the off chance that the ThunderChief goes to the block.
  22. I can spot you $20.

    Why Live East

Awesome slide show, it would have made me home sick accept I just got back from a weeks vacation at my Dad's in Riddle, Oregon.
  24. Thanks for the info! It sounds like you used only the block, IF I can get a rolled WJ, my plan is to use everything under the hood. Is there a significant difference between the '01 XJ 4.0 and the '04 WJ 4.0? It would probably be alot easier to use the '01 XJ, I was just trying to find the newest engine I could. Besides, I would still need to replace the puke goat. I don't suppose the WJ tranny would fit an MJ eh?
