LOL been trying to sell it ... I'm gonna tear this thing down and see what all it has, the gears are not stock PO had them put in and visually the shafts are the larger ujoints. it would be nice if he replaced those when he regeared didnt ask much about the axle when I got it b/c I wasnt planning on keeping it. I'm gonna take what I can and scrap the rest or keep for spares Thanks for the info

Hey guys, I aquired an HPd30 from a YJ in a trade a while back and was gonna just sell it off, but no takers. So I got to looking at this thing and its got some parts I'd like to use. here's my questions.... 1. It has the larger ujoints can I use these shafts in my MJ? 2. Has the newer style calipers can I use them or will I have to swap the whole knuckle? 3. Will draglink and tierod work on my MJ if I do the hi steer mod? also has 4.10 gear set which I'm planning on swapping into my HPd30 Any and all advice or suggestions will be appreciated!

When we bought my wifes Liberty last year I struggled w buying a Jeep (all my vehicles are Jeeps) b/c of this BS.... but she wanted it. I myself have a problem buying any new vehicle. Id rather let someone else take that initial depreciation...

Junk Yard 'manche's
ncmountainMJ replied to ncmountainMJ's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
yeah IIRC the only ones there were busted up or parts missing. I like this yard and will probably be buying much more from them. Good prices and I didnt feel like I was gonna get mugged.... -
Went by this PAP in Rock Hill and found 4 Comanche's two were 4.0 Autos (one 2wd) but thought Id put it out there if anyone local needed parts.... bodies and interiors looked good in most of them. here's a link to their site.... http://www.carolinasalvage3.com/

Mj Newbie Help With Cooling System
ncmountainMJ replied to jeffheffe's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Best thing you can do is tear it all out and replace with a later model open system. You can find the radiators pretty cheap if you look online. My local auto parts had one for around 100 bucks and I use a plastic jug as an overflow. works great and keeps around 210 on hot days. Best mod by far IMHO..... -

Hey Mike ! Thanks for the comment. Its coming along slow but sure... Picked up a couple of AW4's from a guy off NC4x4 so I'm in the process of making one good one from the two. Also got an 8.8 for the rear and some reverse gears for the front. Gonna do a RA Design Shifter and treat it like a manual hopefully be ready to go do a lil wheeling before this winter...We'll have to get up and plan a trip... -
Gone.... Thanks anyways...

Hey guys! I am in need of a 2wd front axle out of a cherokee or comanche. I need this for anothe project I'm working on. Id like to do a no cash staight trade for a d30 I have laying her not being used. I got this axle recently in another trade and really don't need it. It came out a YJ and has spring under mounts. I don't know the gear ratio b/c PO had removed the tag on dif. I'm gonna open it up and count the teeth in the next few days or so probably 3.07 0r 3.73 . It is a HP also would make a great 2wd to 4wd conversion!!!!

.... got a lil bored and had some scrap laying around, so I decided to build me a bumper... I started off with 1/4 x 6 flat and a couple of 1 x 2 chunks these made up the frame mounts and will later on Ill make some D ring mounts. then just started welding in 1/8 plate till I liked it.... then pulled it off to weld it up... all finished up... not the most beautiful but all it cost me was some time, wire, and some sailor jerry...
