  1. Pulled the rear axles from the MJ and XJ today, I verified that my 8 1/4 has 29 spline axles. I also attempted to weld for the first time today, I'll have loads of practice by time the MJ is done.
  2. I'm from the loganville/auburn area. I work and live in the macon/Warner robins area.
  3. I was visited by the sacred fedex mobile today. Also found out my other order is being 2 day priority shipped. That was a nice surprise.
  4. I believe I have one. Let me see what condition it's in
  5. Depends on how good of condition the donor is in. Mine needs a lot of maintenance: gaskets, wheel hubs, ball joints, etc. The donor has everything though, you'll need a lot of tools and a welder.
  6. I'm doing the 97+ full swap. 4.0L/aw4. I have an 86.
  7. Tons of stuff just got ordered: IRO 8.25 truss (turns out I have 29 spline axles) Ruff stuff rear 4 link kit 4x8 sheet of 3/16 4x8 sheet of 22 gage BTF rear coil spring mounts Now the wait begins.
  8. Dang, long ways from Georgia
  9. Cleaned and coated the front axle. Also got the engine harness out in 1 piece.
  10. Looks just like mine, except with less rust. Haha
  11. It is a big undertaking and you find more every minute of the build that needs done. I'm doing well so far. XJ is almost ready to be hauled off and the MJ will be getting the wiring once it has por15 and rust repaired.
  12. It's a fun restomod but is a pain. 86 is the worst year to do a 4.0 swap but at least it will be a little more unique.
  13. Axles are out and base coat of engine enamel is on the engine. Time to freshen up and check the axle, then install.
  14. I got a 125 amp welder, auto darkening mask, oakleys, and tools!
  15. Thanks guys! Great feedback, I'll go to dollar general tomorrow and I'll try some elbow grease with a brish
  16. Ate some McDonald's and had enough energy to remove the dash.
  17. Drivetrain out of the XJ! So, any tips on the best way to clean a motor/trans/transfer case? I want to clean mine up before installing it into lindseys MJ. It has a ton of grime all over it. Also, where does everyone get their gaskets? I need to replace most of the engine and trans gaskets. Rock auto?

  19. Got the 2.5L engine, 2wd trans, and exhaust out.
  20. I am doing the exact same swap, if he doesn't want to sell just brackets then I will. Let me know if yall don't make a deal.
  21. Buddy once again helped with disassembling, we got the fenders off. Then, I went ahead and removed a bunch of engine parts and wiring to make it easier to remove.
  22. Front clip almost ready to remove. Bed is removed. Almost ready to remove the engine. I'm going to disassemble the MJ, then the xj. Afterwards I will fix rust and start the drivetrain swap
  23. Update: The interior of the MJ is out. Began cleaning and prepping for cutting and welding in floor pans. Front clip is almost off also. Then I'll pull the xj apart and get to the drivetrain swap.
  24. This is what I have and will not be using. Macon, ga. Not the best picture, the fender is bent, not sure of condition of the bumper. It does come with a license plate holder for you to bolt a blues brothers license plate to.
