  1. Yeah, welded to the frame. Gonna cut them off. Previous owners went wild with gasket maker trying to correct any oil leaks, I cleaned up the valve cover and will put a new gasket down. Also did some routine maintenance and replaced plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor button. Has a new fuel filter and windshield wipers :) also. All in all it is surprisingly clean under the valve cover (inside). No sign of build up or gunk, the main point that sold me was how well the truck ran. Starts right up and sounds smooth. Motor mounts will be next.
  2. So, I was getting ready to do brakes when I noticed this: Normal?
  3. Thanks for the input, I'm going to check it out once the weather clears up. I'm going to go with a 2-3" lift.
  4. Have to work on this: Gas gauge stays pegged, have to figure out why so I can have an accurate reading. Previous owner replaced the fuel pump so looks like I'll be dropping the tank.
  5. First maintenance parts ordered: full tune up, wiper blades, valve cover gasket, and motor mounts. Waiting on brown Santa now. Cody "The Exuberant One" Quattlebaum
  6. Thanks, previous owner said it doesn't have a lift but when I look at the rear shackle mount it almost looks like new ones were welded on. Would 31" wheels look like this with no lift?
  7. Picked up this gem today. 1986 Jeep Comanche 4x4 4cyl 4 speed. It'll be mostly a "get it back to daily driver" type build. Already has bullet hole rims and 31" BFG KOs.
  8. thanks, I'll try to get a quote tomorrow. I'll pm you when I have the quote.
  9. sounds good, can I get information on where to ship for the shipping quote?
  10. It's a bit rough. Could be cleaned up but probably better off ordering a different one.
  11. I heard that. I need a good vacation day or two
  12. Still gonna get a picture. Work has been insane. Hopefully tomorrow.
  13. I can get some pictures for you wednesday after work.
  14. Looks like ~$80 after shipping in the US. I'll do $40 plus shipping.
  15. I have one. Drove it to the shop where it sits. I'm in Macon, ga. Make me an offer. :)
  16. I have one from a 97 cherokee, gray. Shoot me an offer for it. I can get pictures of it wednesday if you would like.
  17. I went with a semi pieced together kit. Front end is Clayton long arm kit for the xj and for the rear I got the t&t 1" u bolt eliminator kit.
  18. Cool thread, thumbs up
  19. You need a complete donor car, that's the easiest way.
  20. That transmission will work You need to measure for your driveshaft, that's the safest route If you're was build prejune you may need to modify the firewall and radiator support
  21. So for the front 3 link on the MJ I'll need 3 4' pieces of Dom, I might be able to get away with 3 3' but I'll probably use 4'. It is cheaper for me to buy 21ft ($231) from a GA source I found than it is to order the pieces from online ($150-$180)due to shipping ($90). So, if someone is interested on splitting a 21ft stick then we can divide the cost, if not then I'll save the left overs for the tj suspension. If anyone knows of a place nearby to get Dom please let me know. I believe my source is a little drive from me (macon, ga).
  22. The 4 link kit is pure beef. I will use similar parts when I build my tj suspension.
  23. sounds great! Thanks man, I'll look up the thread.
  24. Do you have a build thread on that? I plan on bobbing mine.
