Every time I go driving the temperature likes to climb rapidly it goes all the way into the red until I turn the heat on, then it goes down. Should I go get a new thermostat or could it be a bad sensor or something? Or both? This thing seems to have many electrical problems

No they where the side bolts of the valve cover.

so today i took off my valve cover and as i started to undo the bolts next to the throttle body coolant come up from the bolt holes and into the cylinder head, is this normal? also whats a good way to clean the engine of the coolant, i drained the oil as soon as it happen in hopes of taking most of the coolant out

Is it better to do a spray on liner or go looking for a slide in one??

My RPM gauge isnt working. Any ideas on where to start looking ? 86 MJ 4 banger 4 speed

ok i was able to get it but now the engine is idling high ans has a short of soft knocking to it

On my plastic one it had two holes for the I guess vacuum lines, I grabbed a wrangler metal cover and it has one big hole on the top and two little ones, which ones do I hook up.

I have replaced the gasket on my comanche and now no matter what i try to seal it up it still leaks. I have only been able to find the plastic valve covers but i would like to get a metal one. Any ideas??
