  1. Awesome! I'm gonna try to find a 97 or above on Craigslist because I am in need of a new D30 as well the last owner bent it:(
  2. Only if it comes from a '97 or newer XJ. The newer ones have larger axle shafts. The older 8.25 has the same shaft diameter and spline count as the D35. The housing is stronger, but the internals aren't much better. If you're going to do it, do it once.So if I swap it I should go with a post 97?
  3. Yeah I've already don't the SOA swap, will the 8.25 lift me up anymore?
  4. Okay thanks! Do you think it's worth the swap?
  5. I was wondering if the XJ 8.25 and the MJ D35 are the same width! I wanted to swap in a 8.25 in place of my D35 and just wanted to know if I'll have to get spacers or not... Also will I be able to use a C8.25 with my 33's and be able to be worry free? If its not much better than the D35 there's no use in me swapping.
  6. Would you suggest a tune up after I do this?A tune up? No, you will need to run it on a dyno, monitoring the fuel-air mix, and very likely you'll need to rejet the carburetor, and possibly rework the advance springs in the distributor. so all this just to go to straight pipes???
  7. hahahaha or I'm just the typical 18 year old!! [emoji23]
  8. Would you suggest a tune up after I do this?
  9. That's what I thought, the valves wouldn't warp because of pressure but if its cold out they could but that's if you cut it of at the headers I'm running it all the way out the back! So the air won't be cold by the time it reaches the valves
  10. What's the reasoning for that?
  11. The craptastic 2.8l it's been great so far
  12. EDIT: I was wanting to put straight pipes o my 86 MJ no cat no exhaust all the way out the back, can this harm my engine? I not worried about noise I just want to know if it will harm my engine in any way. Thanks guys!
  13. Anyways speaking of bead locks I cleaned mine out and painted them blue! What do you guys think??
  14. All the bolts have nuts on the back if that helps anything
  15. Should I deflate the tire first?
  16. Agreed! Well thanks guys! I wanna take them off to clean them it just pools dirt and water up in there and that's a recipe for rust!!!!
  17. Okay thanks! Will these come off if I unbolt them?
  18. I bought Thea rims of Craigslist! I was just wondering how to tell if the bead locks on these rims are real or if they're fake! Help would be appreciated:) thanks!
  19. thanks man! Yeah it took quite a bit of work but I really like it! I think it's worth it!
  20. Never ever going muddying again. Played around for about 20 minutes then too it to the manual wash spent 15$ and 20 minutes and its still super muddy! Lesson learned! I'll stick to..... Well anything but black Missouri mud
  21. it has 4.10 gears and it does great for me on highway and mild offload use! I was skeptical at first ten I just put them on and it worked great! It's the D35 I'm worrying about! Good to know...a buddy of mine just dropped off a set of 32s for my mj, guess theyre going on now! yeah you'll be fine man!!
  22. Do you know of a town named West Alton or St. Charles near St. Louis? Yes - Both of them nice! I live I west Alton! Do you have a picture of your MJ maybe I've seen it around!
