  1. fixing the broken exhaust stud. and waiting for motor mounts in the mail. any tips on how to clean off the 1/2" of grease on the trans/block?
  2. that is an aluminum cover. it will work. just requires re-routing of the pcv system
  3. definitely interested. also curious to see how you ran the pcv system?
  4. just to be 100%, that will fit a 2.5 without ac?
  5. bumping a dead post. i need an alt for my 2.5. will that 136 amp be a bolt in? also, are the non AC and AC alternators the same? thanks
  6. bridgestone/firestone = crap chinese tires. i prefer bfgoodrich personally

  8. i was surfing around, and discovered they make aluminum 2.5l valvecovers. will it be a direct swap? or is there more involved?
  9. so to do this, i will need an ecu, wiring harness, intake, throttle body, air box, fuel injectors, rail, distributor, and flywheel. anything else i'm missing?
  10. i'm assuming the block is the same?
  11. i'm going to be honest here. I'm not looking for any "gain". its more to give me something familiar to troubleshoot when something goes wrong. TBI is a completely new, and foreign system to me. and it seems like a rather inefficient design.
  12. ok. looks like i need to start junkyard hunting
  13. is it possible to swap a 2.5 tbi to a 2.5 mpi? I'm guessing it would be a ecu/wiring harness/head swap? what trucks would it come out of?
  14. i checked the vacuum line and flushed it out with brake clean, i checked compression, and it is 140 on all 4 cylinders, and from what i can see, it doesnt look like the oil is pooling in the head.(peeked through the oil fill) now what?
  15. What do i own?!?
  16. I'm finding out this truck is made of lego's. it seems like it is an 89 comanche body, with a 89-90 cherokee interior wiring harness, a 91-95 2.5l engine, with the older style TBI. wtsf????
  17. lol. it now has a proper rear bumper
  18. i recently purchased a 2.5l comanche. it originally came with a breather filter in the pcv location, so it was spraying oil everywhere. i replaced the pcv and hose, replaced the oil cap, and cleaned off the valvecover. it seems to have massively slowed down the leak, but there is still a pretty large oil leak from the top of the valvecover. i noticed with the oil cap that it is very loose side to side, and I'm wondering if that is normal? also what is the smaller line coming off the valvecover in the back? thanks!
  19. hey all, i'm introducing my first truck i have ever owned. its an 89 pioneer, 2.5l 2wd shortbed. its not perfect, and it has tons of issues. but i picked it up for 700 bucks so I'm not complaining too much. when i bought it
