I think this is what you are looking for. You will have to reference the parts because this is the newer valve cover style. The parts guy will hopefully be able to direct you to the proper old AMC style cover grommets. For crap sake, just put in a simple PCV valve like every other car out there!!! Kevin

I am the proud owner of a '87 2wd short box comanche with the 4.0 5 speed and I would like to raise the front end a couple inches so the 30x9.5 tires don't rub and it would look better. I plan on making it 4wd sometime, but for now this would have to suffice. Any links on spacers would be much appreciated. I will post pics on the mild rebuild now, and later the whole enchilata. It was worth the trip of 14 hours driving in one day!! Gotta work ya know.
