DOH!!! my quick look last night reveals that there are shackles on my parts truck and I'm a dummy and forgot to put them on this truck :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :headpop: :mad: :oops: :oops: :oops: :oops:

nope this is how they were bouht all my mjs execpt one was owned by my dad and the other one was owned by my grandfather and i know the history and that none came with shackles and they worked fine ??? :dunno: Yes, F350s have shackles. They are set up with a shackle reversal from the factory. Willy and the hangers are acually qutie thick of steel bout 1/4 mabey ....

okydoky i got those other pics this is on the pass side with the tire off towards the rear of the spring towards the front if you need anything else i will try to help you so you can help me

got the axel out now ! now i just need to take my bell housing bolts outand i can't pull the engine. pics of the axel out: these springs were about 3 weeks old when they broke 8 years ago :shake: a good spring old axel in the back of my chev why i took it out (this is where the spring goes) any way I'm gunna work on the bellhousing tomorrow and try to get the motor pulled this weekend! wish me luck! :cheers:

hey guys i sound really dumb here but do you need shackles on you leaf spring with an mj because i have 3 in my yard and none of them came with shackles on them and I'm realy comfused??? :help:

I could not get any work done to the truck this weekend. I found out Friday afternoon I have to go out of town for a week Monday. We are going camping next weekend so this news caused me to start packing the camper. Saturday morning when we popped it up we discovered the A/C unit was leaking rain water inside onto the beds. I took the A/C off and found a crack in the roof under the unit. I cut the cracked area out and replaced it and sealed everything back up. That took all day to finish. I walk outside this morning to start working on the truck and hear thunder. That's odd, it ain't sposed to rain today. Lets just say it is pouring right now and I don't think it is going to stop anytime soon. Looks like it will be a few more weeks until I get time to wrench on the truck. okay man but as soon as you can you get that finished ! i wanna see it done ..looks awsome already :drool:

well i was working on gettig the axel out and i have everything loose and all but the right side control arms out and all of a sudden my jack dies idk why it just stopped doing anything :redX: :grrrr: but after lunch me and dad are unna see what happened and try to fix it (he thinks it is low on oil) pics tonight! :cheers:

i don't mean to tell ya how to build your truck but ive always found that if ya do sompthing temprary it doesnt work out ........... i have experience as many of my temprary fixes are semi permenant and look bad

will those parts be interchangeable from 4.0 to 2.5??

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY I'm not the only on with problems like that ...... yea that is quite rougher but looks quite fixable if ya got tha patience.
