Last week I ended up buying my 2nd Comanche. I found the listing first on Facebook market place and then found the listing on here. It was just about exactly what I was looking for clean frame, very little rust for being in the rust belt, automatic, 97+ front end, interior swapped dash and 97+ with OBD2, Hellcreek 4.5 inch lift on 33s. Still needs some work to it but I'm just happy to have a Comanche again. Since I bought it last week I've replaced the idler pulley, changed the oil and done a few other basic maintenance things. Things I still need/plan to do are as follows 1. Move the gas tank from the bed to under the bed 2. Get it running and driving 100% (has a slight rattle when idling could be a flexplate bolt) 3. New rear bumper 4. 97+ manual doors 5. New headliner 6. Weld up the exhaust 7. Notch customs fender flares 8. Cheap paint job 9. Rust proof the underbody for the upcoming winter 10. Eventually get most of the JCR goodies like the Roof rack, Crusader bumper, Bed rack etc Have an appointment scheduled at the DMV this week to register it and once I figure out how ill mount up the gas tank it'll become my daily driver while my Wrangler gets retired to the weekend toy. can't wait to build it into my dream truck!

$400 is just too much for me to stomach trying to find a cheaper one! i messaged him 3-4 days ago i saw it listed on his site for $225 so i thought that wouldnt be a bad price but when i messaged him he said the price has changed to $395...

never a good sign in the rust belt. looked at a 89 comanche in detroit today that had a nice body but frame and unibody was rough.

I've hit too many deer not to have the bull bar on the front haha! should only be a week or two before I'm daily driving it again. wish I had it done in time to take it to jeep the mac.

Just waiting on my metal cloak shocks to get back from being rebuilt then its off to get aligned!

Can't decide if I like the look for the front or rear more.

After waiting a few months on some hutchinson rock monster wheels one of them finally came in today. The other 3 are supposed to be here tomorrow.

Hopefully you can find the right buyer at your price point but it might be easier in the long run to sell the parts separately.

I've never been the biggest wrangler guy either. I always loved comanches/old gladiators and LJs (most unique wrangler) but when I first saw a JK8 it was something I had to have. The amount of aftermarket support, the single cab styling, the uniqueness etc. Since I liked the LJs so much I decided to make a custom top for camping that can easily be changed back to the jk8 top.

When the 3.6 blows it might be time for a diesel swap 😁

i think those wheels look great on a comanche too.

yeah the seller bought the replacement rockers for them and has a tailgate that isn't painted for it. I noticed the overspray in the bed. looks like it still needs some work done to it for sure.
