  1. Thanks for the link. I ended up disassembling the existing hose and finding that the o-rings had gone on it. I dug around my toolbox until I found one that fit and slapped it all back together. Problem solved...for now.
  2. Update: It never did it again. It must have been a gremlin.
  3. Mine is split nearly in half. I've bandaged it temporarily but I'm going to need a replacement. Does anyone have one laying in the parts pile?
  4. Thanks. I just replaced the thing last year but I suppose it could be defective. I'll look into it one night this week.
  5. Cool, thanks. And what should I do if it does make a difference with the sensor unplugged?
  6. I took the old girl out to get a yard stuff since it was a nice day. At a light on the way home I noticed that the oil gauge was pegged over 80. But when I took off again it started working fine again. This continued all the way home. It was getting dark so I did zero inspection or checking but I wanted to see what you all thought. I'll post an answer to the issue once I get it figured out for sure.
  7. I can't seem to find a power steering hose for a 1999 Cherokee SE 2dr 4cyl. There are plenty of return lines but no high pressure lines on any websites. Am I missing something or is it a dealer only part for some reason?
  8. Good info. Thanks!
  9. What did you use for the overflow when you did the conversion? What improvements did you see?
  10. The link isn't working for me. What part was linked? I've got a crack forming in my pressure bottle and am going to need to do something...
  11. My 89 MJ has the BA-10. From reading on here it seems an AX-15 is the best option for transmissions. Can anyone list the years and other vehicles that would make good donors. Or is there an even better option for transmission? My clutch is getting old and I'm thinking if I'm going to have the trans out I might as well put a better one back in. Thoughts?
  12. The ZJ is the 93-98 Grand Cherokee, 99-04 is the Wj. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Grand_Cherokee
  13. mvusse- I appreciate it. 88- There's are two. They are near the cab end of the bed.

    Bed Plug

I'm looking for a bed plug. The PO of my truck left me with this: The other one is firmly in place. If anyone has an extra one laying around please let me know.
  15. I think it would be a tremendous amount of work with very little noticeable improvement to performance. That being said, I agree, there is more weight on the DS than PS.
  16. Not mine but I know the seller. Since it was listed on eBay I just shared the link here.
  17. What what would be the easiest bolt on upgrade for the Renix? Just purchase a new one with a higher output as was linked previously?
  18. Full gauge cluster on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321146433113?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  19. Is the Dakota Alt upgrade no good on Renix models?
  20. As many DIY projects as we do on these MJs... I can't believe no one has done this before. Or at least tried to do it before. I'm concerned that the opening and fit of the ignition cylinder will be wrong. But the doors? Those can be modded.
  21. I'd really like to keep it all the same color if I can so replacing the doors will be a last resort. I'll see what I can do to modify the actuator rod or maybe switch them out from a newer door. I'll take pics and do a write up if I'm successful.
  22. Actually I was calling it from memory and was wrong. The vacuum hoses are routed as you said they should be. And rereading the first response, I'll be pulling the cover and heading to NAPA. Thanks for the input.
  23. I'll be sure to let you all know. I'm less concerned with the ignition fitting than I am with solving the door cylinder rotation issue.
  24. Sold! I'll send a PM
  25. mvusse, do you by any chance have pics of the disassembled parts? I'm wondering if the tab can be moved from the old cylinder to the new one and retrofitted.
