Finding just the right MJ is proving difficult. One of the things I want is AC, but a lot I'm finding do not have it.
Has anyone added AC to an MJ and if so how and what parts did you use? What things to watch for? Not worth it?
I'm sure I will get some flack for this, but I have had TeraFlex springs in my TJ for 6 years now and they have served well. Unlike the rest of the TeraFlex products that have since been replaced.... grrr....
I have never run them myself, but I've never heard or read anyone who was unhappy with their OME springs.
Actually its just a matter of being able to turn screws and unplug plugs. Then replug plugs and turn screws the other way.
I saw one MJ have this done to it, but darned if I remember where. If anyone has a link, writeup, or pics please post.
I have read many write ups on swapping out the whole cluster for one with the tach, but I was wondering if anyone has installed something like auto meter gauges.
Good to know thanks. I know my AW4 and 242 were from a 98 and 97 XJ. Would I be correct in thinking that I would need a 242 from a pre 97 XJ due to the output shaft spline count (so I don't have to swap an input gear)?
General knowledge for people who have experience with the MJ. I love Jeeps and have been into them for some time, but really don't know squat about the MJ.
Was the 242 ever offered in the Comanche? I swapped an AW4 and 242 from a XJ into my TJ so I have a good idea on what a swap takes, but wondered if there would be anything specific to the MJ that a swap for a 242 would take?
That list would be huuuuuuge if it were complete. Occasionally they changed the colors of the wires, apparently just for the heck of it. :dunno:
Okay, well maybe not THAT specific, but you know what i mean.
