Jeep Comanche - red - long box - 4x4 - 5 speed - engine 2.8L V6 - 130000 kilometers - year 1986 - Quebec Province in Canada - Montréal city. While waiting to be refurbished like the original when I was retired
  2. Cool have fun and give us some update as soon as possible for your resto
  3. My MJ 1986 4x4 long bed is powered by a 2.8L from a firebird and it's working fine. The AMC original engine is good but if you want to have a better engine install a Firebird engine in 2.8L, it's bolt one and thats' what i does this summer. Why ? Simply because in the industry everybody said me, the Firebird engines are balanced inside and thats' why they are stronger then the AMC original engine in the Comanche who is balanced outside. I hope my comment help you for a choice in the future. :Canadaflag:
  4. Same as mine........Welcome Home

We changed the wire by a new one and at the first start, the engine started in one second... .. Next Lollllllllllllllllll Thanks' for your help   :Canadaflag: help

  13. The 2.8L V6 from a Firebird is stronger than the original AMC Jeep, because it's balanced inside, and the AMC engine was balanced outside with the crankweel, thats' why they was more fragil than the Firebird engine.
  14. Finally the Firebird 2 8 L V6 126000 km 1987 engine finally recovered. Everything is great with a few adjustments here and there. Thanks to everyone for your help and advice were very helpful.
