  1. Sorry for the late reply, PM sent
  2. Thats pretty cool. The only owners manual I have is actually from an MJ I found in a junkyard, it also had all the original owners info, and if I remember right, I'm pretty sure it said it was from the same area as the junkyard, and the truck had 220xxx miles on it.
  3. Deep Beryl Green, always liked that color, or the khaki color that was on 03-06 jeeps
  4. Thanks man, yea ive had so many different wheel and tire applications on this truck, my key factor was trying to figure out what lift height I wanted and would be easily attainable, So I'm sticking with 4-5 in with 265/75/16, which is roughly a 32in tire, 33s wouldve worked but it wouldve rubbed and I wouldnt been able to get much flex, so I'm sticking with what I have for now, who knows whatll happen in the future
  5. After that the truck was put on hold for a while, I was pretty busy with school and work, but it wasnt long before I was at it again, I had an extra set of 33/12.50/15 Pro Comp MTs on Cragar Soft 8s from my TJ, so I put them on, but of course I rubbed in the front, but didnt look bad at all Primered Side Colorful Side I then got a set od used BFG ATs for my Rubi Wheels Also installed a pristine tailgate at the local pick a part that was too nice to pass up Soon after that I bought a real set of tires, 265/75/16 BFG MT KM2s, And a Family Photo of "Father and Son" my dads old 82 J10 and my MJ
  6. Then I got rid of the 31s and star rims and replaced them with rubi rims, but tires were too big and bald, so I went ahead and put my TJs factory ravines and 31s on until I got new tires for the rubis Some of you are thinking, why remove the bed, well thanks to boilermaker for the heads up I got a perfect straight bed with only a small dent or 2, Installed the bed, also got a little carried away with the rattle can primer,
  7. Then I got a little crazy removing body panels, Hey look mom, no doors!! New Doors New Fenders 97+ Front Clip and Doors done
  8. Ok so its been a while since Ive updated this, I guess now is better than ever. The little MJ has transformed a bit since I last updated this. Started stripping the bed and gettign ready to remove it. Removed the bed Cleaned the frame up a little Looks different without the bed
  9. I snapped the bolt that secures the tailgate to the bed when you shut it, so I need another,
  10. I swapped beds on my MJ, and the bed I replaced mine with doesnt have the nuts welded on the inside of the frame rail for the gas tank skid plate to bolt in. Soooo my question is how have you guys bolted on factory gas tank skidplates on to your truck that didnt come with it? Any suggestions or ideas are higly appreciated
  11. they look more different then I thought, but exactly I was talking about, thanks for the pics  theyll help me out if I decide to cut mine to make them work
  12. Never made a AC unit, but I did, along with a couple buddies, make a solar powered radio out of a cooler, using of course a cooler, a solar panel(with battery and everything to give power) a marine radio deck and marine speakers. It worked out great, especially when we used it to float down the Guadalupe River. Ill see if I can find some pics and post them.
  13. Shortbed and longbed rear step bumper brackets have the same part numbers. The only difference is right and left. There is a difference between long and short bed rear bumper brackets. Because the frame on long beds is longer, the leaf spring hanger doesnt sit as far back on the frame, therefore the bracket doesnt interfere with it, but since the short bed MJs have a shorter frame and the hanger is pretty much at the end of the frame, the brackets from a long bed hit the bolt that connects the shackle to the hanger. The difference between them is short bed brackets have a bit cut away from them so it doesnt interfere with the bolt that connects the shackle to the hanger. Also it has a cut on the bottom where it turns a 90* angle, that way it can run along the bottom of the frame without hitting the hanger for the shackle. In way you are right, the brackets are the same but with some minor characteristics. I figured out you can easily modify the brackets to fit by making the required adjustments. Ill write a DIY with pics for it if no one has yet.
  14. As the title says I'm looking for a pair of rear bumper brackets for a shortbed, I would also be willing to trade my set longbed rear bumper brackets for the shortbed ones
  15. Awesome build, Ive been thinking of a similiar build lately using a postal XJ(right hand drive for us) but never knew somebody had already started one, I would love to get a right hand drive 97+ Diesel, standard, 4x4, XJ donor from Australia, I wouldnt even mind keeping it as an XJ
  16. Like the link says, someone in Dallas is parting out an MJ with bucket seats, truck looks semi clean, if it wasnt 4 hours away Id grab a few things http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/pts/2808235525.html
  17. not trying to kill your build or anything, but why don't you build the black truck up instead of hacking it to build the white truck? especially since the black truck is already running and driving, granted its not a 91 or a 6cyl, but would probably be easier to fix up instead of the white one,
  18. never seen a comanche pop-up camper like this before http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/2572389145.html
  19. I appreciate it guys, the reason for the more views the better the grade is because, we have to show that we put the video out there, in other words advertise it, like we would selling a product. The project is now done with, I made an 85 on it, not an A, but better than failing, I appreciate any and all help you guys gave, thanks a ton.
  20. I really appreciate it guys
  21. I posted this a while back, long story short, I'm in a business class at UH, and I need to get as many hits for this video as possible to recieve the best grade I can possibly get. Pretty much the more views the better of a grade I get. The project is almost over and done with and I still need more views on my video. You do not have to watch the whole video just click on the link and that should show one hit. I appreciate any help in advance.
  22. Awesome build, you work pretty fast, keep up the good work
  23. Awesome, I highly appreciate it
