  1. i'll deffently check to see if they're clean, i know they're the right ones for my engine cause i checked into that before i bought em, Redwolf pulled the plugs they're all good but gapped at 35, called advance and they said the gap should be 45 so i gapped em all up to 45 and it runs better than it did and i won't know if it still has run on for another week or 2, Redwolf
  2. could ya explain on that more, what do ya mean by a lift with no shocks? Most aftermarket front bumpers can be had with grille/brush guards, winch mount, and shackles. Or where you meaning an aftermarket bumper and separate grille/brush guard? either or, i know of the warn gaurd like on your MJ, Redwolf
  3. there's really only 2 junkyards around my town and either of em have parts on cherokees that i'd think bout usin, no gaurds or anything like that, and how well is the add a leaf, i've heard mixed feelins bout doin that, Redwolf
  4. so i'm makin a list of everything i wanna put on my truck when eventually get the money to do so and that list includes, a new front and rear bumper (with shackle mounts) a grille/brush gaurd, either a 3" or a 5" lift, atleast 1.5" wheel spacers and maybe some other stuff but bein that the MJ market is so slim i was wondering where yall get the parts? pictures of what ya have would be nice to kinda get an idea of what the product looks like on a MJ :D Redwolf

  6. well when ya do try it, take a few pictures of how it looks and give some feedback on how it is drivin  Redwolf
  7. ok, i'll see if i can't check that tomorrow, but i just checked the vaccum with a gauge and adjusted the carb again, i got 18" of vaccum and my exhaust is smellin "normal" again but i do have run on, it's not all the time but i do have it, there will be times i'll turn the key off and the engine wants to keep goin, sometimes it's for a little and other times it's like i'm revin my engine for a race, what could be the cause of that, Redwolf
  8. if it doesn't help how is it still a good thing to have a carbed 2.8? Redwolf
  9. alright, i'll give that a try before i go and rebuild the carb, 5 bucks for carb cleaner is better than a 21 carb rebuild kit, Redwolf
  10. no clue the the timin was dead on, it confused me too i'll try that, thanks, Redwolf
  11. alright, i'll get that a shot first, deffently cheaper than buyin a new carb even off ebay and would it make a difference if i had to rebuild my carb when i first bout my truck? Redwolf
  12. more semptoms of whatever is makin my truck sick, at idol it feels and sounds like the carbs fuel air screw is bein closed but it i open it all the way it makes no difference, could my carb be shot, could it be my spark plugs not makin enough spark? Redwolf
  13. pete i said somethin that doesn't go on a console lol some moderns still have a bare shifter with just the boot, my buddy's dad's chevy s10 had one and my buddy's friend's ranger has one, i've even tried slappin the stock boot on and it just looks weird, tomorrow when the suns up i'll take a picture of what i'm workin with, i'd love to put the console back in and use the boot but i can't due to the shifter hittin the plastic piece that holds the console down, it breaks it everytime, Redwolf
  14. i've been messin around in my MJ today and having no shifter boot in the winter time has been bother in due to cold air comein up through the ripped dust cap i have, i was wondering could i take on out of a ford ranger or a chevy s10, anything that has it mounted straight to the floor and not onto a concole and mount the one without the console to my floor? if not has anyone made their own shifter boots? i need some ideas cause makin one has me stumped, Redwolf
  15. so today leavin work my engine still didn't wanna start but it did, i think it needed a little bit of a choke since it's been sittin for 4 hours but it's nice out and shouldn't need the choke, also it's still runnin rough, i checked the vaccum today when i got home and played with the carb and there's no leaks and the carb made no difference, any ideas? Redwolf
  16. This. Or you have a valve that won't close. Also, you say you have not yet done a 'tune-up'.........bad wires or plugs will also give you a miss or rough idle.......same with distributor cap and rotor. think i have found the problem, i left my truck with my dad today so he could go through the vaccum jungle and make sure the timin is good, i get home and checked the distributor and the bolt holdin it down was loose, tighted it down and seems to wanna start and run good again, we'll find out tomorrow when i go in to work and come home, Redwolf
  17. God i hated mine. First thing i did was tear out all the vacuum lines, Put a holley carb on it & bypassed 90% of the vacuum jungle that is the 2.8. Did this just start? Did you change anything recently? i have not changed anything except the fog lights and added air horns but my truck has been doin this before then, i don't know if the the carb needs to be adjusted or what but i'm drinkin gas worse than a hummer H2, i know in about 2,000 miles it's due for a tune up but i don't think that'd have anything to do with it not wanting to start, Redwolf
  18. so this has me stumped, i checked the timing and even had my dad double check it for me and it's dead on but i have to pump the gas and pull the choke on just to get my truck started and once it's been idling for 10 minutes it still runs rough, any idea? remember i have the carbed 2.8, Redwolf
  19. the link doesn't work for me doesn't seem to be a sticker on my brothers mj though, looks like it was factory painted on ^^ You might have to pay a bit extra though because of their rarity. yes i know i misspelled eliminator, i see that now, i blame auto currect, Redwolf
  20. i don't think so, it looks like ELIMINATOR was painted onto the truck bed rail, it's not really a sticker, Redwolf
  21. i was wondering if anyone had a emblem template of ELiMINATOR for a 89 eleminator or an idea of how to get a template of it, i tried to put a piece of paper over but the paper is too thick to trace what's left of the eliminator emblem, Redwolf
  22. findally got around to takin pictures of my MJ and took a picture of the way i mounted my jack and the L bracket that it's on :) Redwolf
  23. pete i like to be prepared to fix anything, but ya look like you're prepared for an engine swap with that tool box in the bed lol, Redwolf
