i did the same swap, and you will need to take the cherokee engine mounts, customize the fuel pump on the mj sending unit, all the wiring, and customize the tail lights wiring. fun project took me about 6 months to finish it but totally worth it.
i havent been trail riding yet, but i been with my brother theirs hope, margruder, and somewhere over by the hope ball parks. thier not any thing special just be careful some are not legal to be on and are deep.
got it done this weekend, would put up pics but i have no camera, all i have is a cell phone camera which i don't think it takes good pics but i try it.
we tried that holes trick but we used a block of wood and found nothing but the only one we didnt try is the one with the fan which we can't reach. I'm sure a new belt would work but i want to make sure before going out to buy a new one
how did you wire up the dash to the back mj wiring harness cause i did the same swap and the both turn signals go off when i have one turn signal on and hit the brakes.
i swap a 94 cherokee wiring from the dash to the engine, and kept the 89 comanche tail lights wiring, so what do i do or where is the turn signal switch, is it in the steering wheel or under the dash some where.
