i doing the same swap and your going to need just about everything from the cherokee, when we were done with the cherokee it was just a tub and now i just having trouble with the tail lights wiring up the xj to the mj tail lights but it was an easy swap for most of it.
i replace all the engine wiring and the dash wiring but kept the mj tail lights wiring is there a way to fix it without changing the mj taillight wiring
the axle is a dana 35 with 6inches of lift with 3.5'' coils and 2.25'' puckets, i believe its a rough country lift (i don't know bought from a friend), and i need to redo the angle cause the lower control arms are touching the shock mount
thats why we decide to add square tubing to the side of the lower arms after that we don't see how they would break unless the ends(where the bushings are mounted) break off.
i will admit that my fabrication skills are pretty bad but i only trust my dad and my brothers cause they been doing it for so long and it was my dads idea to extend the stock arms.
That would probably be better than lengthening the stock sheetmetal arms, but it still wouldn't be legal on the street.
we lengthen the stock ones and don't see how it would break
