 Hey smack me for that one... I knew it was about the transfer case.. What I ment is : Are the transmission with floor shifters a direct swap or what has to be replaced?
-
Not to hijack..... So is the NP 242 the one that has the shifter in the floor? If not what is it?

Do I have the correct oil pressure sending unit?
Shane replied to Shane's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
So a gauge switch is what it is actually called. -
I went to Auto Zone to get the oil pressure sending unit to complete my gauge cluster swap. The guy comes out with a bell shaped part. It doesn't really look like theother sending unit. I know the are different, but I figured they would look somewhat alike. Do I have the correct part or not? If not what does one look like? Any advice and help is always appreciated; because the intelligent people of Auto Zone sucks.

:agree: If it's as dependable as it looks, that would be awesome!!!!

Basically the question is in the title. What is the correct way to hook up the electric fan on my 89 MJ. The Po has it hooked up where it comes on with the key turn :dunno: . I know my previous mj wasn't like this  . I was just wondering what the correct way would be :smart: ? Along with which way is actually better. Thanks in advance.

I am currently having the same problem. Let me know if you get a solution

Correct Me if I'm Wrong about this lift option?
Shane replied to Shane's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks guys. I figured it would work, but when you hear something different you might as well double check, right? -
I found some 2 inch coil spring spacers for 84-01 XJ. They will fit on my 89 MJ, correct? My truck has the rake to it. I was doin this 2 inch up front and maybe a 1 inch lift shackle in the rear (as this is my DD and will seldom be taken offroad). This should level it out, right? Or should I leave the rear alone? I wanted a little lift but on a budget.

Who has ordered replacement carpet?
Shane replied to rejeep's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
:agree: About 2 yrs ago I ordered replacement carpet (nice but decided I didn't want carpet) from Motion Offroad and it came in an ACC box. A few weeks ago I ordered the vinyl flooring from Varkmotors in Ohio and when it showed up; it too was in an ACC box. -
Mainly normal driving. For example if I drive it 1.5miles ( distance from my dads to home) the light begins to come on if I continue to drive it, then it comes all the way on. i actually checked the temp. with a thermometer ( normally used for the turkey) and it read slightly over 200. So I m not sure id its overheating or the lights are just FUBAR. For some reason I didnt really think that it could have been the wrong one  .

I am lookin to buy a full gauge cluster for my comanche. Mine currently has the idiot lights. I have one that I had to piece together myself, but I am not proud of it so I was wanting to buy another. If any one has one forsale let me know.
-
Thanks man. I know it's pretty simple as I talked to alot of people about it. The problem I ran into this time is that the temp sensor won't screw in. I mean really?????? Any advice on how to get the speedometer cable attached without pulling it out of the tranny? Last time that was my problem. Thanks again man. Any advice is always appreciated.

As the title say, that's what i'm trying to do. Everytime I do this something doesn't work the way i know it should. if any one knows how to do this and can post it clearly i would appreciate. Also the idiot light say that it is getting hot. we replaced radiator and thermostat. i know they say it could be the water pump but it apppeares tobe working . Any advice is appreciated.

Hamptonville, NC $10,000
Shane replied to saltyman413's topic in Craigslist/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
:agree: also. If you could get $10K after the 97+ conversion, then  every MJ would be switched over. Don't get me wrong he did an awesome job . -
I will of course buy it from anyone or trade if I have something you need or want. Help me out guys.
