Looking for a factory black MJ step bumper for a friend of mine. Nicer the better. Hopefully something in the Louisville (IN, OH,KY) area. Feel free to send me name, contact number, picture and cost and hopefully we can make something happen. Thanks!

Trying to help a buddy out. He needs at least one rear spring to get his MJ off the lift. If he has to buy two, he probably will. To cut down on cost/shipping, looking for something around the Indianapolis/Richmond, Indiana area for easy pickup. What do you have in your pile? Thanks...

THIS WEEKEND!!! -
Saw this and fell in love with it. Although they used a FSJ tailgate, an MJ tailgate could be considered a love seat. Has anyone one made any Jeep furniture that you would like to share with us?

A friend needs a manual tranny for his 89 MJ with 4 cylinder 2WD. If you have a good one around the East Central Indiana/west central Ohio area, please contact Kerry. jpksloven@gmail.com or call/txt 765/520-8288.

Thanks Skidoo_i: Those were perfect! Bornindesert: you are 100% correct. I would be dealing with a '86 rusty mess. It would take power tools, a torch and plenty of patience. Thanks for your input. I wish I had known sooner about these brackets before that SWB donor MJ went to scrap pile last year,

In removing a MJ rollbar from a donor, I understand there are plates under the bed that should be kept. Under kicker legs and front hoop. Are there other bracketry under the front hoop that should/could be removed? Somehow I remember seeing some on a factory drawing of some sort. I might be wrong... :???:

No two/four post lift. MJ has a 4"- 5" lift on it. Therefore I have some room to crawl under. Go down from the top or up from the bottom? Remove crossmember? Lift motor and undo driverside engine mount? Already have the bottom bolt out. Trying to lossen up the top one. I'm sure there are some mechanic tricks that I need to learn.

4.0L year determination needed...
89Tonto replied to 89Tonto's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
THANKS!!!! -
I need some help determining the year on a 4.0L that a buddy picked up in a trade. It is completely different then my 90 4.0L (renix) motor. This motor has 909MX- 11 or II on the valve cover. I would say its 91-92 or newer. On the valve cover of the donor 4.0L is 009MX25. Trying to determine the year so I can find the correct range of engine harnesses for a swap into a CJ. Do you need more info or can someone help me on what I have posted.

I've been told today that since I have 4 comanches, I have my own tribe of Native American Jeep pickups. 90 2WD, LWB with 4.0L, auto and the UN-limited camper special. (Easy cooler access from both cab and shell... )

When it comes to bolting the newer doors on the MJ, are the hinges interchangeable? I just remembered the body portion of hinge is welded on. Can I swap the doors out at the hinge pin? :hmm: Is there another thread available on this elsewhere? Pictures? Looks like I found some doors. Want to make sure I get what hinges I need and the strikers. Thanks guys!
