control arms will be the lowers will be around 17 and 3/16", while the uppers will be around 15 and 5/8" long from center of bolt to center of bolt. you won't find a fixed set that are those exact measurements. my suggestion, buy some adjustables that are for between 4.5" to 6.5" of lift. the other thing you can do would be to run some control arm drop brackets...which will improve handling with short arms at 6.25" of lift...6" of lift and higher kinda sucks for handling with short arms. I'd buy the Rough Country adjustable control arms. idk how adjustable your track bar is, but you may need to replace that, and you will also need to either extend your brake hoses, drop them lower (if you can), or get new lines (jeep wrangler YJ lines from 87-95 work well). transmission. well, idk if yours is a auto, 5 speed, or what motor you even have, so I can't tell you that... its an auto, 4.0L 6cyl. i was also going to try and buy a cheep 4wd XJ, and swap everything need over for the 4wd. all i can think that wouldnt work is the drive shafts correct?
-
i have after market control arms but they arent adjustable so i need new ones to run the spacers. what length upper and lower should i buy to run the 1.75" spacers. ad is there anything else i need to modify to run them. also what transfercase ad transmission should i get?
-
I'm planning to do a 4wd swap somewhat soon and i need to know every little thing i will need. i mean everything. also ive got 4.5" springs in the front. and i did SOA in the rear. i bought 1.75" spacers for the front so i can level it out but i realized i need longer LCA's. i also need to know what else i need to get in order to run the 1.75" spacers. lengths and measurements would be helpful too. ive got the rustys soa kit so keep in mind i have the sway bar drop brackets.
-
no updates. my funds have run dry  trying to get the rust fixed up and some new paint next. and a new rear bumper. here's two shots this is my dads 1999 xj. we are a good ol' jeep family.

i hear ya

nope. still havent gotten a spare tire. i do have a rim though. although after i get the spare tire in the bed i may not do anything for a while because I'm liking how she sits right now.
-
what length LCA's would you recomend for a 4.5" spring with a 1.75" spacer?
-
nope, i actually couldnt put the spacers in, because i was stupid and forgot i would need longer lower control arms. SO, i have 1.75" spacers for the front but i would need some longer lower control arms (adjustable prefered).
-
thanks man! here's a few more shots.
-
I also kinda like it how it is but if the front springs settle out anymore, I will definately want to lower the rear or raise the front. thanks i love it!
-
so finally got her lifted, and as predicted i still sit butt high. which should i do: adjustable lower control arms with some spacers up front or some shorter shackles. i would prefer shorter shackles, where can i find these?
-
when i got it aligned the camber looked normal so no more problems here.
-
there she is

just got my truck back from my freind after they did the lift. he told me to go get it alligned. but i noticed the wheels look bent slightly outwards. what do i do now?
-
still no truck .. my budy got "tied" up on some other stuff, so who knows when ill have her back. hopefully by tomoro evening.
-
you should try and get some full truck shots soon.
-
oh my bad i forgot to mention, the front lines are fine, i need to do something about the rear?
-
so my freind is in the process of lifting my truck. and we now have two issues. 1. i got 4.5" coils with LCA's being appropriate length for them, but i ordered some 1.75" spacers not remembering i would need to have slightly longer LCA's. so i guess i have to settle with 4.5" up front until i can afford some adjustable LCA's. 2. The brake line lowering kit was a sham...anyone know where i can get an extension kit? hopefully autozone?

lift is here, and my freind has got my truck in the shop. should be done late tonight.
