That was the update, as of yesterday.

dumb question: how exactly do you unclip these injectors? Will I get shocked if I unplug them while it's running?
-
I will give that a try. Thanks.
-
Those injectors are a good deal, but if you look at his listing on ebay you can get them even cheaper even with the 10% off. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 0298643201 Do you think that will solve the problem? This truck is in very very good condition and was wondering if injectors are one of the first things to go out? She has about 125,000 on her. I'm just trying to be sure I'm not spending money where it isn't the most beneficial.

I just checked that vacuum hose a it seems good, no cracks or anything. I had already cleaned the IAC as best as I could but it is if you look down the the throttle body, it is a little black and gooey in there. I seemed to have cured the major pulsing stuttering, one of the plug wires came loose. I probably didn't get it on there tight enough when I changed the plugs. But the idle is still not where it should be.

update?
-
My truck has a consistent miss at idle and it seems to be getting worse. It used to have just a consistent miss but now it also has a pulsing stuttering that shakes the truck. When it's missing at idle, if I quickly give her gas she will stumble and then rev up. If I slowly give her gas it revs normally and anything off idle seems pretty good. I put in new Autolite 3294 plugs and it didn't help, if anything made it worse. Cleaned the cap and rotor as best as i could, they don't seem too bad at all and according to a receipt i found the previous owner had new ones put in 12,000 miles ago. The one thing that really helped was right after I finished seafoaming, it ran perfect, revved cleanly and had more power than usual. But like a minute later it was back to the usual. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I am an automotive newbie especially when it comes to buying parts.

Here are a couple more

after too much searching I found my intro...And you even replied to it :teehee: 3/4 of the way down http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopi ... &start=285 I'm starting to feel more and more obligated to keep this thing as stock as possible and in the same or better condition than it already is.
-
I took a few pics but they didn't turn out too great. I can take more if needed...The sticker's right hand edge is a 1/4" off of where it says safeguard. Mine did not come with the metric ton badge like some of you mentioned.
-
did you ever get the video? I actually just did this to mine, fed 1/3 of the can through the brake booster line, let it sit for 5 min or so and when I started it up there wasn't much smoke at all. Only a small puff, I drove it around and it seemed fine. But the idle was a lot smoother.

sweet, thanks guys

I tried a couple searches and didn't find anything so, what does that power/comfort switch actually do.
-
Thanks.

and what about long beds?
-
Here is my 89 4.0 Big ton long bed 125,*** miles I'm the third owner, second owner was an older guy who took excellent care of it and the first owner was a company that sold it in the first three month of it's life. Came with a huge folder full of every single receipt and record ever Paid $2600, which is a lot but I think this one is worth it. The rest you guys can tell from the pics.

It's a 91 HO. That's what the coolant overflow tank is supposed to look like. $4125 and rising; hasn't met his reserve yet. It's a NJ truck - I'd never buy it for that much even if it was parked for 17 years. ok cool, still learning here.
-
what's with the coolant tank?
-
yea I can hear it priming. You guys are probably right I should just leave it alone, as long as it starts everytime.
-
Ok switched out the cps and no dice, it didn't make a difference. any other things to try.
-
thanks for the quick reply, now I just need to shop around for a cps.

New here and have a question about my new (to me) Comanche. When I go to start it, it takes 3-4 seconds to start. I've tried putting it to the run position a couple times to build up fuel pressure and it doesn't make a difference. It runs and drives perfect otherwise. I'll do a full intro to my jeep when I get some pics.
