FSJ is a great idea, strong axles, big v8.. i picked up my 1984 j20 with the 727 tranny and the AMC 360 good strong engine. my dad had a baby blue waggy when i was a little kid that thing was a beast. FSJ's are the most over looked vehicle to build up there solid.

i fired the truck up today, she lives again. added some fuel cleaner and fuel and she fired up after the third try. after sitting for 8 years it good to know she works. works still slow so i can't do the things i wana do but ill keep you updated when something happens. she sounded nasty, if i can find my video camera ill video her running for a couple seconds.

Thanks i been searching for some good websites. i found one that seems to have good stuff if you FSJ guys wanna check it out http://www.bjsoffroad.com/cartgenie/sub ... ategory=18 work slowed down and I'm running out of money :headpop: so i have to hold off on a lot of the things i wanna do but the other day i got the new plugs wires and distributor cap. drained the old fuel out of the tank. next plans are to get new belts radiator and hoses. does anyone have know a really good fuel cleaner to break up the crap that might be sitting in my fuel tank?

i pulled the plugs and wires, changed the oil got a new ignition coil new battery cables i sprayed inside the spark plug holes i turned the ignition and she turned over !. one step down at least i know the starters good next i plan on getting new plugs wires and distributor cap along with belts a new radiator and hoses. then i try firing her up and try to bring this old lady back to life.

i recently sold my comanche ( there wasnt much left of the comanche... tires suspension and body ) for $100 and found my new toy a 1984 Jeep J-20 3/4 Pickup for $400. the guy i bought it off of was moving and needed it out of his yard asap. he wanted $750 but i got him down to $400. its been sitting for 8 years but is in real good condition surface rust here and there but its a beauty. Specs: 5.9L AMC 360 Bored .30 Hedman Headers aftermarket cam 2 bbl carb Dana 44 front Dana 60 Rear Future Plans: 1. Get it running good and street worthy 2. Paint it something other then Red 3. 4'' Lift 4. 1'' body 5. 37'' tires

i know this site is for Jeep Comanches, but i was thinking... how about a forum for OTHER projects? i use to own a MJ but sold it for a J20. there isnt a better site out there better then comancheclub I'm sure other ppl that own TJ, YJ, and FSJ's would possibly like to put up there other project build sheets on here. what ya think?.. :brows:

Just to let you guys know, i bought the truck and had it towed to my house yesterday... when i went to pick it up the back window was missing and the bench seat was gone. wtf, so i called the guys and told him what was up and he now I'm getting the truck for $400. :banana: ill put some pictures on when i get a chance, theres only 67,816 miles on this AMC360

Looks to be surface rust, i didnt see any holes in the frame or cracks. needs work but i think its worth it.

its a automatic, I'm pretty pumped about it

i found a Jeep J20 on craigslist for $750.. i talked the guy down and am now getting it for $600 what you guys think? 1984 Jeep J20 67,000 original miles its been sitting for 8 years i was snowing slid into a pole and smashed the grill and dented the fender he never got around to fixing it.
