Personally I would only bother with one if it was a CRD.

Yes, or drilling platform.

Fair number of the pictures are from Canada, just mostly indistinguishable from Alaska.

South padre, I was in the valley to visit family. Here are some others from the way down: Been itching to try out my new camera in a low light pollution area, finally got the chance down in southern new mexico. http://colorado4wheel.com/content/nightsky/index.html Here the band you can see running left to right is the milky-way, the other light in the lower left is light pollution. Lots of light pollution along the horizon, you just can't get away from it it seems. Also note the seven sisters in the upper right quadrant. Next up, carlsbad caverns.

I want the D44, that is all.

Where are you located Sam.... Fort Collins. Name the junkyard and chances are that I've been there. IE: Martins, Andersons, Jeepsunlimited(ripoff), Western #1, Western #2, Western #3, Sidewinder(closed), Upullandpay #1, Upullandpay #2, Upullandpay #3, Upullandpay #4(new mexico), pullnsave, new junkyard colocated at upullandpay #2, new junkyard located at Upullandpay #1. There's more, just not worth of note. So, which one was it?

The CRD visits the beach, drives over shells, does not get stuck yet we pass many stuck 2WD vehicles.

Either say where the yard is or leave the forum forever.

What junkyard?

I've found out one thing in life very early. There's the truth: And then there's the truth: Know what question people always ask me? "Why are you selling it?" The answer of "Because I bought it wrecked, spent as little money as possible to repair it, and plan to resell it for as much as I possibly can," doesn't seem to go over very well. I disclose the major work that has been done, but downplay the severity of the work. A couple of years ago I had a jeep that had been real lightly touched on the front, barely tweaked a fender, barely cracked the header panel up, one woman who came to look at it "it worries me that its been wrecked." There's just no reasoning with those people, if your honest it bites you in the @$$, it's understandable how car dealers get a reputable for being lying scumbags.

I can usually tell someone's age by what they post and how they post it. IE, mature, immature, crybaby.

The new buyer is free to run a carfax or ask any questions they wish.

X2. People tend to forget what made old cars obsolete. -
I never liked the painted flares of the sports, always thought the sport looked kinda broken up, painted bumper, black end caps, painted flares, black side molding. I also don't care for the painted end caps and flares, I think all that painted stuff makes the jeep look cheap, too many shiny plastic curves. I think the sports look better in darker colors, blues greens, where the contrast between the black plastic and the paint is lesser. On the flip side I think the freedoms look better in bright colors, which is what they came in. White, yellow, red, and that silver I don't really like. The only classic/limited color I care for is that silver, I feel like thats the only color that doesn't make it look cheap with the fully painted plastic. So ya, personal taste! Jeep did the same thing with the liberty in 07, the 07 latitude KJ is basically just a limited with silver painted renegade wheels. I think the '04 freedom edition WJ's and KJ's were also another way to burn off inventory.

All freedom XJ's came with unpainted flares, 16" silverstar wheels, NP242 and the dual CD/tape radio. They were basically sports with the SE appearance package, 242, 16" wheels, and cd/tape, like the 60th anniversary edition they were mainly used to burn off excess inventory. I'll find out the mileage when it gets delivered, I got a key made so I should be able to move it around qoon.

http://auc2.traauctions.com/kws/napplic ... Exit=Close I've been going nuts trying to find something to flip and make money on, stuff going super high and no cherokees for like 3 weeks now. Well whatever happened the stars aligned today, picked that up for $1700. Now I just gotta see if I can get it up to me before the holidays. Also note that it is a freedom, but someone kept the silverstars off of it, this makes the second freedom I have bought without silverstars, I guess some other people really like the wheels too! I just picked up a set of ecco's so I might throw those on to up the value a little. Paid $1700, which means more like $2100 after fees to get it home. Shooting for $2500 total, I already have the fender/header panel/airbags, I'm hoping the ECU didn't take a hit or if it did that it is a sentry key ECU because I have one of those.

Things like the turn signals and marker lights are great, just about any plastic light is going to be just as good as OEM but cheaper. The fenders are pretty good, the metal is a little thinner, for the price its hard to beat. It's always hard to find good 97+ fenders, and they are ALWAYS getting tweaked, so most of the time I just about have to give up on getting OEM fenders. Fit is pretty good, not the same as OEM. It's not any one thing that I can tell is off, but they are just a little bit harder to get in place. You have to look pretty close with a trained eye to tell the fenders apart from the real thing. I've got one on my Jeep right now and it doesn't bother me. The header panel is plastic, compared to the OEM fiberglass, the quality has varied, the last one I got was super cheap crappy plastic, ended up not using it because it was warped and broken etc. My friend recently got one and it was still plastic, but much better quality, thicker, better lines etc. I would just make sure the one you get has the studs along the top to attach to the upper rad support. The cheaper ones don't seem to have that, the newer better ones do. FYI a new fiberglass header panel is like $250 from Jeep - I grab all the fiberglass header panels I can find at the junkyard, if there are header panels - I gotta grab em while I can, same for fenders. The bumpers and end caps are so cheap through certifit that its usually not worth messing with used parts.

IIRC when you look at the production numbers 88's were the most produced.
