  2. Wasn't for the Japanese, they had been using it for over ten years.
  3. Know what bugs me? The Moon. Turn that damm thing off, I'm trying to sleep.
  4. It was the 80's. Why are most of the rims 7" when most rims now are 8"? <- Same question.
  5. He is, he is asking about the dakota prop valve line.
  6. Good point. But that doesn't excuse the stupidity of doing it in public or in front of a camera. I like how you put it, "stupidity of doing it in public" not "stupidity of doing it"
  7. I'm with you on this, my 93ZJ with the 4L just didn't shift like the AW4 does in an XJ, it just felt wrong. The 42RE in that 01WJ I just sold felt weird too, never liked the way it shifted. The AW4 is a good tranny.
  8. I was gonna say it sounds like the heat soak issue on the 00+ 4Ls, though I don't know why that would affect yours.
  9. You can just wire up the fan to run whenever the compressor is running. So as the compressor cycles on and off so does the cooling fan. And you want 96- R134a stuff, 97+ will not work for you. I'd also get a new drier and expansion valve while you have the system apart. Not nessesary, but cheap insurance.
  10. Ya if you could get me a good photo I would appreciate it. The closer to a 90 degree angle and without any shadows the better. Someone here volunteered this picture a while ago and its one of the best ones on the guide:
  11. The KJ base rim that is posted had the flat center cap like in the pic below it in the list, not a generic one like posted. Near as I have been able to find out these dimpled bastiges were an '02 only thing and possibly only on the 2wd's I have had a set for a couple of years and they have been on both MJ's and the KJ at some point. Those came on 2002-2004 KJs in the base trims, I regularly see a KJ around town that has those wheels and no roof rails on it, i keep hoping one day i will get a chance to take a picture of its wheel. If you could get me a could picture to include in the guide I would appreciate it.
  12. I just realized I never made an MJ page or note that MJ wheels were the same as XJ on the jeep wheels guide. Should I make a seperate page for the MJ?(not much trouble just some copy paste). Or should I just make a note on the XJ page that MJs used the same wheels? Maybe the wrong forum to ask on, but should the MJ be a footnote on the XJ page? http://colorado4wheel.com/images/jeepwh ... index.html
  13. about .5-1 second for cranking time. Hell sometimes I just think "start" and it fires up before I know it. Course, thats on my 00 XJ.
  14. Ya its looking a lot better! I've seen some nasty vehicles and cleaned up some nasty vehicles, vomit, blood, brain matter, but this one is about the worst. I thought the last one was bad, hell no, this one is bad, it didn't help that it was a smokers vehicle. The whole thing was just a little repulsive on the inside. Not to mention mechanically it was abused worst than a red headed step child.
  15. Took the for sale pictures tonight:
  16. check out the jeep wheels guide to look through newer Jeep Wheels: http://colorado4wheel.com/images/jeepwh ... index.html
