    Polshed Rim

Thats not my manifold I posted a picture of, I have one I started polishing down years back, but never finished. I have a 93 convertible TT and a 96 TT.

Yeah, thought long and hard about that Sam, but decided to just get it blasted back to the natural "as cast" finish on mine. Haven't ever seen one polished and installed. It is a rough casting and would require a lot of material removal........ That 300zx manifold I posted is just a rough to start with, have to start with a 80 grit flap wheel and work it down. Just think, stainless header, polished manifold, polished thermostat housing, polished AC compressor, polished AC compressor bracket, painted block..........would look sweet.

I think if you repeated the process you could get it to look even better, polished aluminum can really be sharp: More performance car guys with aluminum intake polish them up, I kinda always wanted to polish a 99+ XJ intake manifold.

    Torx rant

The lower seatbelt mounting bolts in my MJ managed to turn my torx bit into a twisted piece of garbage. About to break the T40 bit on the last remaining door bolt on my '99XJ donor - go figure... Must be a rust belt issue there. I thought of another, the upper control arm bolts on the axle side(some years have a welded on keeper that keeps them from spinning, others don't), and the swaybar end link on the axle, both of those torx piss me off, generally though I don't deal with those too much.

    Torx rant

Let me also say that having a good set of security torx bits is important too, you never know when your going to run across one of those little guys.

    Torx rant

Been working on countless Jeeps for over ten years. The only 2 cases where the torx pisses me off are the front bumper bolts, and the door mount bolts. I will say one thing though, I am sorely lacking in the torx 27 size because I use it so much!
  10. Those wheels will fit. Please see the Jeep wheel guide for more information: http://colorado4wheel.com/images/jeepwh ... heels.html

  12. Ya man I see what you mean about things not done right.
  13. Wasn't for the Japanese, they had been using it for over ten years. MPI in 1977? Bosch, Bendix & Rochester injected cars go back to the 1950's, but multiport, as in a separate fuel injector for each cylinder was still new in 1987. The first Multiport Injection I can remember was the TPI Chevy's in 1985, for Corvettes, Camaro's & Firechickens, then the Mustangs got Sequential Fuel Injection in 1986. I can remember Bosch injected VW's in the early 1980's, but I don't think they used separate fuel injectors like the Jeeps, Chevy's & Mustangs were using by the mid 1980's. My 84 Nissan had Multipoint fuel injection, a 75 280z had multipoint fuel injection, 1980 VW+ Vanagons all were MP fuel injected(hell they were fuel injected before they were water cooled).
  14. Here, a size other than a postage stamp.
